This place is great! I wasn't very hungry so I just ordered the soup. It was awesome. And sooooo filling! It was like they made it from scratch right then too (I there was early) $8 for a hearty bowl that comes with delicious cornbread. Will return for sure! Advice would be to call your order in ahead if you don't intend to dine in. Busy spot.

*Lunch Special Review*I noticed listed on their sandwich board a number of rice bowl lunch specials and was intrigued at what may be offered.I opted for the Teriyaki Beef Brisket Rice Bowl to satisfy my yen for their usually succulent brisket. Served in a Japanese themed wide bowl, it consisted of jambalaya rice, mixed greens and a fist sized serving of chopped brisket. The teriyaki sauce was served on the side.I'm not quite sure how I feel about this special. On the one hand, it is very basic and exactly what is described on the menu; on the other, a little bit more creativity in presentation would've been more appealing. One thing I did have a problem with was the cold teriyaki sauce. I took that as meant to be a 'dressing' for the bowl, so I drizzled it over the rice and salad and mixed. The combo was decent albiet a bit odd. There was an expectation that the sauce be warmed and mixed with the brisket, but I guess even the chef dare not mess with the perfectly smoked goodness of the beef. The verdict: a work in progress. It is a great option if you want some bbq without entering the usual meat coma and sweats, but there is also so much potential for improvement. Personally, if the brisket was served sliced instead of chopped, it wouldn't be as obvious that they are just creative in selling their off cuts (albiet still delicious) of brisket as a lunch special.

The ribs were great, we asked for CRISPY fries and got them, and a BIG portion, the server was great BUT the cornbread was hard and DRY.

Nice and kind staff.Good for those who are fans of Jazz music. It is played all the time, and the walls are covered with pictures of famous Jazz artists. They have multiple TVs around the place showing sports highlights. It's fun watching those while having dinner. The foods come in large portions, and you can expect to get your hands dirty eating them! They offer free guest WiFi ?

For Appetizer we ordered calamari but unfortunately its too salty and overcooked.ribs, chicken and pulled pork is ok.The fries is good but the salad is not that good.

Excellent service, very good quantity of food (got the Elvis platter), food was a little too salty, but was still pretty good :)

My delivery order had the worst quality/cuts of brisket and it was horrifying. Unlike the other photos on google, I received extremely poor cuts of brisket that were along the grain ( BIG NO NO) and they legit gave me legit chunks of fat with no meat (I love fat but this is messed up, in one of the photos I'm holding only fat). The sausage was dry, which I thought was impossible, and the barbecue sauce tasted low quality of no elements of the meat present. I spent a lot of time exploring the Texas BBQ scene, and I always taught to respect the animal you're butchering/cooking and this is just insulting to the cow. Whoever served this cow needs to hold it a proper funeral so you're able to apologize for the crime you've committed to it.

Decent portions. Fair pricing. Beef ribs are pretty good, given that most other restaurants only have pork ribs.
