Meat and Bread perhaps makes perfect sandwiches! We had the chicken buffalo. The meat was excellently cooked and seasoned. The cole slaw on the sandwich was yummy. And the bread was perfect. They don’t have a long menu— they seem to focus on doing a few sandwiches exceptionally well. We also had the kale cessation salad as a side. It was tasty though maybe too basic and not generously portioned.

They were out of the porchetta, so we got the buffalo chicken, still pretty darn good.

Never had I ever eaten a meat ball sub this scrumptious. Got a tomato soup as well, great price, great vibes.Went there after my promotion, was wearing a fresh white shirt. The sandwich was so good even my $200 shirt wanted some. Now I look like I got stabbed in the stomach and someone sprinkled basil on it. But for me, its just a usual Friday afternoon in Gastown.Overall on a scale of 0-2, I would rate it 2/2.

One of the best places in downtown Vancouver for the flavourful porchetta sandwiched in fresh bread.Great ambience.nice staff.I feel it's a great place to grab your lunch ?

Great spot! Very friendly. Food was fantastic. We had the pulled chicken sandwich and Cesar salad. 2 sandwich and 1 small salad was $36.23.

My wife had the Porchetta and I had the KOREAN Meat BBQ with Kimchee and other veggies and a red spicy sauce. Our friends all followed my wife's lead. Service is attentive, helpful and friendly at the counter. Minimalist ambiance.

Friendly staff, clean and hip interior, great sandwiches. It's a good place to grab a bite and not sacrifice on quality of food. We tried their porchetta sandwich and the chicken sandwich. They were both satisfying. Bread was a bit chewy. The porchetta sandwich had the crispy skin in it which made the texture out of this world. Get ready to get your hands dirty eating these yummy sandwiches.I love it that they have local soda (phillips) as well. They only open 4 hours a day.

Consistent, tasty & filling, not a bad word to say about this place. They've got porchetta down to a fine art. I went the other day and they didn't process my order (bit of mix up) so gave me a free sandwich for the delay and then gave me my order. Such great customer service and completely unnecessary but really goes to show they care.

I have been a few times over the years and I must say the food portions, porchetta sandwich, are slipping and the prices are rising.

Listen, I've never had a bad meal and Meat and Bread. Yesterday was no different. The meatball sub was on point. The craft cola was a nice touch. The staff friendly as ever. Why not 5? Well, when you're paying $20 for a sandwich and soda.... I don't know, maybe an add on? Prices have gone up!
