The Poutine here has been voted in the top of Vancouver's restaurant charts for years now, and once you try it for yourself, you'll understand why. It's literally a hidden gem, disguised as a little cubby in between two restaurants on Granville & Nelson. It's a family run business, and these ladies are pandemic all-stars - they stayed open throughout the entire pandemic - and that kind of dedication to a business that you're passionate about should say enough about the upstanding quality of this unique, eclectic little 'hole in the wall'.
Wanted to grab a quick Poutine on the way home and stopped here. Signaled the lady behind the counter that I wanted to order. She was on the phone and gave me a quick hand signal that she was on a call. I waited 5 minutes and since she didn’t seem to care about me waiting I ended up walking next door to "The Moose" who served me a delicious poutine to go in 5-7 minutes ??♂️
Ordered the Mexicana and the Southern BBQ and was not surprised the Southern BBQ tasted absolutely rancid. The "pulled pork" must have been cooked earlier and left out during the day because as soon as I started eating the meat, something was just off. This establishment is hit or miss. Save some money and just get poutine from Costco since thats where the fries come from it seems.
Dang this place really brings back those drunken late night memories. Best poutine you can get for the price. Definitely recommend!
This poutine is the best I know :) southern BBQ and Fried chicken my favs
Mean Poutine is one of the top choices for poutine in Vancouver. While they do offer hot dogs, and I have frequented this place ok sever occasions the point one has always been my go to.Place is busy on nights when the Granville strip is lit up. Definitely worth checking out after a night out on the town.

Y’all need to update your hours. Google says open until 3. Apple says closes at 4. Website says closes at 10.You’re gonna start losing your customers the less careful you are with how you advertise yourself. On top of this - woman working on weekday nights is rude as can be. Get better staff and fix your operating hours.
Usually on point with the Chicago Dog. Tonight was an embarrassment.Buns so stale they fell apart and I was left with the hotdog in my hand. No toppings and not a real Chicago Dog.As a chef, Id be embarrassed to serve what I was given. Here is how to build a proper Chicago DogPlace hotdog in a steamed bun, not grilled, pile on toppings in this order... Yellow mustard, sweet green pickle relish, diced white onion, tomato wedges, pickle spear, sport peppers not banana pepper rings, and celery salt. The tomatoes should be nestled betwen the hot dog and the top of the bun.Better luck next time!
