The burritos weren't that bad, but they were definitely more expensive and less filling than places like chipotle, mucho burrito, and quesada burritos. Now the reason why I'm comparing it with Chipotle and other places mentioned above is because I consider this style of Mexican food more mexican-american.In terms of quality to price - I frequently visited southern California (pre-pandemic) and the burrito here is nowhere near the quality of a run down mom and pop shop in southern California. These burritos just seemed kinda flat and not overly filling...But again it's not a "bad burrito", its just their price does not match what a real carb loaded filling burrito should be...there was also way less meat.Their Instagram photos is what attracted me and my friends here but it definitely seemed underwhelming in person compared to what's posted on their Instagram page.
Discover this cute Mexican eatery today…the service was friendly; the food authentic and tasty; and the menu varied.
I popped in not expecting to be wowed as I had just come back from Arizona and Utah and had amazing Mexican there. To my surprise and delight, the food and service was EXCELLENT! My burrito was made with a FRESH flour tortilla just like down south. I have never had one here and can't find them in any grocery stores here either. The meat was also generous which was surprising for the cost of food now and rent. I hope they are able to make it through the economic slump because this place is fantastic. I'm looking forward to going again.
Todo está muy rico y su pana corta wow!!
Highly recommended spot for burritos and tacos. The portions here are incredibly generous. I recommend trying their chicken mole and the lamb burritos. The chicken mole is my absolute favourite and typical go to. Their burritos are packed full and the meats are super flavourful! You can't go wrong with their tacos either, 3 should be more than enough for one person based on the portion size. This has definitely become one of my new favourite burrito and tacos places in Vancouver.
Have been enjoying their food immensely for the last year or more ;until recently. Their food has suffered and a great deal the past two to three months unfortunately. Ordered again last night off Uber eats and was sorely disappointed. My burrito was drenched in sauce ,way too much which in turn made it extremely soggy and not pleasant or enjoyable to eat . My wife's plantain burrito had one small piece of plantain. Won't be eating here again .
The chipotle chicken burrito bowl I had was fullfilling. The portion of rice was a bit extra as compared to the meat, but the taste compensated for it. Overall, a nice place for dinner. The staff was nice as well.
Went to visit this new restaurant on main and 12th. I can tell right away this is an actual mexican restaurant based on the menu and confirmed with the flavour of the dishes.Ordered the Barbacoa, al pastor and Chipotle chicken tacos. Although they will never be similar to the ones in Mexico, especially for Al pastor as it requires a shawarma style machine for slow roasting plus spices that may not be available here in Vancouver. I must say I was very Impressed with the Barbacoa ( slow cooked lamb ) tacos !! They were delicious !Also ordered horchata which was right on point, not extra sweet and not too dull.I was not impressed with the lack of hot sauce game, they need to up their game there as sauces are a big part of taco and overall mexican food experience, especially with the magical green, guac made sauce ( wink wink ) , nor with the minimalist 1/16th of a lime for the three taco order.Overall a good experience and I'd be curious to come back to try other items on the menu. So definitely a place to keep on the rotation.
Got charged around 18%more from the in-store display menu prices on my food before adding tip. When I asked the reason after making the payment, they simply said the prices on display menu is old, with no apology or offer for refund. The food was fine.
Every time I have one of these burritos I am astonished at how good they are. Literally never disappoints. Delicious tortillas, generous filling, wonderful sauces. Food made with love by friendly people. Just a fantastic business all around.
