I recently ordered a vegan Tiramisu cake for my partner and was deeply disappointed. First off, the writing of the message on the cake looked like it was written in sharpie marker and did not look nice at all. However, I let that go because the taste of the cake was something I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately, the sponge of the cake did not taste like it was soaked in espresso as advertised and was really disappointing. There was too much cocoa powder on top that people were coughing while taking a bite of cake. I was honestly really excited to try the vegan option from here because of the glowing reviews, but I would not recommend their tiramisu cake. Perhaps their other vegan cakes would be better.
Got two cakes for my wife’s birthday recently, she is lactose intolerant so I got two of the vegan selections, carrot cake and a cookies and cream one. The presentation was awesome - with attention to details and flavours and textures that all combined so well and caused everyone to “oooh” and “ahhh” when they saw it and when they ate them. I have had vegan cakes from many other places around town and by far, these taste like the real thing, including the creamy frosting. I could not tell they were vegan. No butter? No problem. No milk? No problem. These guys know what to do.
I ordered my wedding cake from Le Gateau in August, the lemon blueberry Olive Oil. My guests and I all thought that it was the best cake we have ever had!
Decided to go with Le Gateau Bake Shop for our wedding last weekend and it was AMAZING! We tried samples and few months ago and they dont do the overall product justice! The buttercream had a nice simple finish and the inside was super moist. We went with Tanya's recommendation which was the 'lemon olive oil', 2-tier, and buttercream. I highly recommend the lemon olive oil if youre looking for a moist wedding cake. It has a layer or berries in it and it was delicious! One of the highlights of our wedding for sure! Well done Tanya and the Le Gateau Bake Shop team!
My friends got me a birthday cake from Le Gateaux that was both absolutely delicious and beautiful. It was covered in fresh flowers and had gold foil amongst the icing. Speaking of icing, no fondant was used which was nice because I think it’s gross.Cake leftovers were still moist and delicious three days later. Highly recommend this bakery!

Parked outside to answer an email and make a call. Looked nice from outside but didn't see anyone go in. Looked closed honestly, so I figured there was most likely a scene out of pulp fiction going on in the basement and it was best to just finish my work and leave. 5 stars because I like bakeries and I'm sure they are great
I first found this bakery on IG. I was instantly amazed at her work and the fact that Tanya makes vegan cakes. We have ordered various cakes and baked goods from Tanya throughout the year. Each time Tanya delivers and executes beautiful, customize items based on our vision. Our friends and family also enjoy the flavors of her desserts. The care that is taken to make each item, and the details placed means you'll never be disappointed ordering from Le Gateau Bake Shop.
Kind of unprofessional to email someone back and say yes we can make your cake and then not respond back until a week later and say no we can't make it.The cakes aren't that great anymore and taste the same as whole foods.
