Very fine and good place to eat in town. Very good food and great services. We tasted wine oysters and meet everything was great even the desserts
Food is well made except I found it overly rich and heavy - especially the sauce. It’s French after all. Good service. Tables are very close to each other which do not offer much privacy in conversation.
Still a good French restaurant!
Came here with my lovely gf for my Bday dinner and what a wonderful experience. From the service the second you arrive there to the amazing waiters and waitresses that are always on top of things and really busy. The executive chef ?? there is hands down one of the best i have experienced in my life and you can just tell the passion in their food. The best French cuisine in Vancouver and do yourself a treat all and experience them at least once! Cheers ?
We were lucky enough to get a table here on short notice - it was the perfect way to celebrate my brothers birthday. The food was amazing, ambiance cozy, and service exceptional - especially our server , Brian . Favorites were salad nicoise, mock tails, ribeye, foie gras, pear sorbet, lemon meringue, crème brûlée.
Loved our meal here Cocktails were delicious and food was excellent- can recommend lobster, seafood pasta and grand marnier soufflé. Coffee was excellent too Our waiter, Brian, was very knowledgeable and attentive Overall a great experience
Great place for a special occasion. We came here for a friends birthday and it was great service, what you expect for fine French dining. We tried a variety of the different dishes - favourite being beef tartare and the escargot in garlic sauce. I had the veal medallions and morel mushrooms. The sauce was spectacular. Of the desserts, I loved the lemon meringue. Perfectly sour. At the end was the signature crocodile.
The food was superb and waiters and sommelier fantastic. We enjoyed a very special meal here and would go back tomorrow.
We returned to Le Crocodile on this long awaited trip back to Vancouver. The restaurant hasn’t missed a beat, and it’s as great as ever. Classic French dining is disappearing almost as fast as telephone booths, and even in Paris, the iconic dishes of the Julia Child French kitchen are missing from most menus. Le Crocodile carries that tradition into the 21st Century with pride. I ate exactly what I dined on eight years ago: Foie Gras three ways, Veal Medallions in a rich mushroom sauce, and a delicious French pastry for dessert. Brian was our professional and accommodating server. His suggestions and aplomb helped our meal become a lasting memory. Le Crocodile shouldn’t be missed when in Vancouver. It’s a special occasion restaurant, when every day should be a special occasion. Ooh La La.
We booked this restaurant for my husband’s 60th birthday and wanted something special on our visit to Vancouver. We definitely chose correctly. The service from Michael was outstanding and we truly loved every course we had. Highlight for me was the Crème brûlée and for my husband the special birthday soufflé. Would visit here again if on holiday in Vancouver without a doubt.
