Definitely very cute and aesthetically pleasing. I had the black lychee tea and it tasted delicious; small hint of lychee that went very well with the sweets. The reason for 3 stars is that my friend and I only liked 2 items out of everything served. The cakes were very dense and the bread was kind of hard, almost stale tasting. The pastry under the smoked salmon was also hard to bite into. It looked like it was supposed to be flakey.Very pricy when some of the food wasn't that great in my opinion. A fun one time experience though.
Came on a Saturday and after being seated for 15 min, someone in this small venue stopped by to greet us. The website mentions the high tea price of $48 which was acceptable with a kids portion at $38. Tea cup and saucers were cute but the teapots need some major cleaning. The image shown is for 3 high tea servings- $144. The presentation is quite nice with the bird cage. When I received the bill, we were suddenly charged $58 per person, the manager apologized because they forgot to update the website as the price increased as of June 1. Then he automatically added 18% gratuity when there was no mention of it anywhere on the website. If the service and experience we received was exceptional, 18% is normal. But when service had left a lot to be desired, they did not earn that. Transparency is key to any business. Really should provide the guest a bill and not just hand the machine over to 'just pay' the bill. Not impressed. The manager needs to take some courses or lessons on customer service. He was rough and really seemed to be in the wrong industry.I will not be visiting again. There are many more high tea options in Vancouver that provide better value and better quality. To the owner- You may want to frequent those competitors to see how you can improve the experience.
This place was cute and very IG worthy to say the least. I came here for a retirement tea for one of my colleagues. We were all first timers at this restaurant and it was a great experience for us all. The teas they serve are wonderful and very flavorful (the ones we ordered at least) ? We ordered the high tea set menu and boy was it delicious. Everything was made in house from the baked goods/desserts, tea sandwiches and wraps all the way down to the spreads and jams. Our host/server Derek was amazing! It was like a one man show running the whole place. Of course there were other people in the kitchen but for majority of our time there it was all him. ?Thank you for your hospitality. It was definitely a pleasure and enjoyable to see your enthusiasm during our experience from start to finish.Hope to be back again soon! ?
Wonderful service! The staff was amazing! The waiter literally stood on a chair to take group pictures for us! There was also more food than most afternoon tea spots, so you definitely don’t leave hungry. The food is almost completely made in house, other than a cracker, and everything tasted so fresh. Amazing ambiance, I will definitely be returning ???
So yummy! We had the Valentine's high tea. Great service, cute venue, and tasty food.
great spot for high tea, large tea selection, great pastries.
Very overpriced, we came in thinking they still had different set options but forced us to do the afternoon tea set. Paid 60$ (with tip and tax) per person. Tea was cold (we only got hot water when he refilled our pots). Service was mediocre and music was loud and obnoxious. That said, the set was very well presented and pretty. Although it took awhile to get the food. The savory items on the spread were delicious. A shame the sweet items were tad heavy and really really sweet, probably would've been better if we had proper tea.All in all, would not come back again just not worth the money. (Picture is a spread for 3 people combined)
Server Derek was very warm and sociable. The food has improved since the last time I visited: delicious and fresh. I had the lemon zinger tea, which was good. A bit of a long wait to get seated & served, but I think there was only one staff person running the place that day. Would go there again.
I came here for my birthday and it was wonderful! Amazing service, great food (both savory and sweet), and great tea (we had the featured berry flavored tea). It was the perfect amount for me and my friend though be sure to have an empty stomach before coming and we had no problem with the reservation. The atmosphere was nice as well with elegant decorations. I would definitely come again with more friends when I want to spoil myself lol.
What a beautiful place! Superb, genuine servers as well. We enjoyed the afternoon tea set which included both savoury and sweet pastries. The quiche and egg salad on biscuit were our favourite. My mother loved the earl grey cream tea so much that she bought some to take home (they blend their teas in house). The cherry on top was a big surprise macaron with a candle for her birthday. Thank you for a great tea experience!
