You can't go to Vancouver and not try the city's Poutine. Luckily this place was as good as people claim. We got the smoked meat Poutine, which is one of the most popular dishes. Excellent flavor, fries still crunchy despite being covered in gravy. Everything you hope for in a bite of poutine. Loved it. Also if you can get a bar seat at the window facing the street, it's a wonderful people watching spot to see the hustle and bustle of Davie Street.

My boy just started liking poutine so I got him to try it here. He liked it. Great service, lots of great choices and very friendly.

Favorite poutine joint in the city, hands down. This is how it's supposed to be. Moving forward, I use this place as a barometer to set the bar on how I judge other poutine places. "Is it better than La Belle Patate?" so far, the answer has been "No".Aside from the top notch food, it's a great vibe inside. Very casual and laid back. The owner, as well as everyone who I've spoken to that works there, are all very helpful and laid back people. These guys (and gals) know what they're doing. Really can't recommend it enough. They put the perfect ratio of gravy/fries/cheese curds and you really realize after going here how a lot of other spots don't get it right. This place is literally the definitive example of it being done the right way. And with quality ingredients. If you want a true classic done the right way, La Belle is the place.

The best poutine place in Vancouver..Left poutine is the baked potato one, Comes with bacon bits, sour cream and green onions. My personal favorite.Wanted to try something new and got the meat lovers one. Pretty good, but nothing beats the baked potato one.Absolutely nothing wrong with the place, staff are nice, easy going and know what they are doing. For anyone wanting to eat a poutine, definitely eat here.

First restaurant I tried as a tourist and was a huge fan. Poutine is definitely junk food but it's awesome. The customer service was excellent, plenty of laughs exchanged and got a recommend on the traditional poutine. Definitely would recommend to others.

My girlfriend and I eat here all the time, and it's absolutely delicious. Being french Canadian, I can assure you this is a REAL steamie (just like lafleurs) and REAL poutine. We frequently make the trip from the valley out here! Worth it every time.

Solid poutine. Wanna come for the smoked meat sandwich next time, looked really good! Gravy wasnt too salty and fries were fresh. The music inside was freaking wild and hilarious. Loved the vibes and food

When searching for the best place to eat poutine in Vancouver this place kept coming up top of the list and now we know why! It is amazing! Great portion sizes (we ordered a small portion each and it was just the right amount), fantastic range of options (I went for a classic and my partner got the smoked meat poutine) and very reasonably priced. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. Chips were fresh, gravy was deliciously seasoned and piping hot and the cheese curds were hands down the best I've ever had. We'll definitely be coming back here for more before we leave Vancouver!

Poutine apparently means a delicious mess and it certainly is. The most crunchy, soft, golden homemade fries topped with gravy and cheese curds. Canada, you won my heart with this one! If you haven't tried poutine, you need to, and if you have then add this spot to your list of best poutines. The people here are so friendly, the spot is laid back and efficient (perfect for a quick bite) and the food is simple but packed with mounds of flavor. I didn't know I came to Canada to fall in love but as I sat romantically looking out from their counter seating with the open windows and enjoyed fork fulls of cheesy, messy fries, I did.

So good that we ate it all!We got the Medium Smoked Meat Poutine , and it was the best poutine we've ever had. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. The cheese curds were SO SQUEAKY!! Definitely the highlight of the meal. The gravy was flavourful and rich, but it isn't the salt bomb that you would get at other places.Parking is paid street parking, as expected in downtown Vancouver. Pets are not allowed. Indoor seating available, no outdoor seating. Why it wasn't a 5 star? For the medium smoked meat poutine, it was ~$13 which we found pricey for the portion size. The meat was not as special or outstanding as we've heard and we could have gone without, also the portion of meat was dissapointing considering the price increase from the regular poutine.Although the gravy wasn't too salty, it still go up there by the end of the meal. Would not eat without water or some drink to wash the salt down.
