I tried this restaurant because of the great reviews I saw on Google. Sadly, I found the food here to be very subpar. Here are a few concrete reasons for this:- The theme here is that all the food is quite salty.- Preparation is quite sloppy.- Food is generally overcooked here. With clams losing their springiness or exploded, chicken cooked to bone dry, and under-seasoned fish that is simply drenched in a very salty sauce or broth.The prices are overall not cheap here. The ingredients appear to be good quality with subpar preparation and cook for all the dishes I tried.I think you can find Chinese food that is much better cooked with care and professionalism elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend.
Worst place to eat, one of the servers was super rude when we asked her if she can add chicken and shrimp chowmein together she rolled her eyes and said that we cannot we can only do separate it’s easier for the kitchen we’re super busy meanwhile she was serving everyone else properly if we ask her any questions she had an attitude answering questions about the menu when she found out that I didn’t tip her because of her horrible customer service she started demanding for a tip and clearly told her that there’s no tip for her and she stormed away the food had barely any seasoning we expected a lot of vegetables it was broccoli, noodles and chicken wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
I phoned ahead to get takeaway. Upon arrival I was greeted by a man mopping a flood of water that had escaped from one of the fish tanks. There was a major flood and it seemed very odd. When I was given the bill and told cash...or etransfer only I complied only as I was so hungry. I did the transfer and the cashier phoned someone at home to make sure it went through! I should have asked for a tax receipt haha. This whole cash only situation is very shady.Food was ok but had very little flavor. The whole experience not great.
We go here for late night menu deals. Lots of options and choices. Staff are friendly and remember what you like. Are flexible leave helpful. Just don't forget it's cash only! Prices did go up a but recently but you can probably start to expect that everywhere you go from now on due to inflation. Almost everything here is really tasty and good value for the portion sizes.
I have been driving by Kwan Luck for probably hundreds of times in the past decade to and from work but never managed to pay a visit. We finally did it this evening.True to all the reviews, the restaurant is truly a classic Cantonese gem that serves up very traditionally and rare old-school dishes that are hard to find nowadays at this price point.The servers are friendly, authentic, attentive and funny, too! They come around every ten minutes or so to change our dishes and help us order more drinks.Every dish was beautifully executed and very tasty without too much sauces. Just right in the seasoning department. The escargot and the oyster dishes where excellent. The fried Shishamo dish (椒鹽 多春魚) was also a super classic. The pig's blood & cilantro congee was refreshing, light and has just the right thickness.Highly recommend if you can get a table.
The place isn't elaborate. It's utensils aren't expensive. But it's is an Authentic Chinese restaurant. The food here is similar to what I get in China. The seafood is fresh and the staff are friendly despite being super busy. I dined in with my family so idk what take out is like but you need to go here in large groups. E.g. 4-10 ppl recommended because they have large sets.
Love the late night snack at this restaurant. Everything is amazing good. But remember to bring cash, the restaurant only accepted cash. No debit and credit cards.
Chicken soup is classic. Love it so much. I like the free dessert, red bean soup, and the service is really good. Very recommended.

Decided to walk to the place and when we entered she said yes come, cash only but we also accept etransfers.Finally got a seat and she brought us menu. After she took our orders and brought us bowls.We waited for almost 1hr. We were so hungry couldn't wait, and just walked out. The server said you guys don't want to eat? Ridiculous and idiotic service. If you are asking for cash only atleast train your staff better.
