I went today and eat at Kumare it’s nice place to eat Pinoy foods it’s clean and very friendly kind server. The food was great taste so Pinoy lutong bahay. I going again and also I can bring and tell my friends to eat there.
they're very eager about enforcing the covid rules here
If you're looking for fresh cooked cafeteria food, Kumare is a fabulous choice for a wide variety of Filipino classic dishes, including BBQ skewers, fish, pork, chicken, beef, pancit canton, pancit bihon, steamed rice, lechon kawali, and many others! The people are kind - once I was completely broke, and they graciously fed me anyways! I paid them back as soon as I could, and I continue to hold them and their services in high esteem. Don't let the modest & sparse dining area fool you - this is High Quality Food at a relatively competitive price! Kumare treats me like a dear and valued neighbour! I do hope they will be able to expand their dining facilities ASAP, should they wish to do so! Right now, as it stands, this is an excellent value for the Communities. Should they choose to buy out their convenience store neighbours or move in order to expand and improve their dining room facilities and accommodate more customers, then I would like to give them 5 stars!
At Kumare they have varieties of Filipino foods. I open buy my lunch or any foods that Im craving. The price and servings of the food are good to the budget thats why I always go at Kumare.
I love the taste of the food - it's very homey and you can tell by the number of Filipinos that go here. I remember one person said to me, "in order to tell if a certain ethnic restaurant is good, look at the number of people with the same ethnicity that eats there - they are the best judge of that restaurant because they know what their food should taste like". Most of all, I really love the ambiance here; it's very Filipino and it takes away a bit of my homesickness. The people are so nice, warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Their service overall is really good and they smile most of the time. They interact with their costumers and get to know them as well. They are kind and giving. As a group of students who ate here, they even allowed some of us to use their microwave even if we didn't buy any food from them. What a nice bunch of people.Location is very busy and parking is hard to find, but it's close to other Filipino stores and restaurants. Some food can be so greasy, so just watch out for your stomach.
One of the servers of competitors in this stretch are not careful with how they pour food into the bowl, I've seen it drip on their fingers and back into the food, so I come here instead. If that person is not there, then I might. Happy eating.
Great food, super nice employees, regularly great atmosphere. They charge affordable rates and the food quality is excellent. Keep up the good work.
I eat in this spot a lot since I work nearby. I like how their customer service is always excellent and they keep the place clean consistently. Pricing is affordable and they serve sizeable portions.
The big guy server is very rude...guess, wrong place of work. Customer service is definitely not for him. He’s annoyed serving others and when people asking for price or water. Sad... wont be back here.
Decent filipino restaurant. The one in Richmond is better in terms of service and quality of food. But not bad. We ordered food and then they told us that they didn't have sigsig which was a little disappointing. But we got the crispy pata which you can't go wrong. Small place near Joyce Station. The staff is OK. There's not a lot of room to move around. I can't imagine what it would be like when it's busy. We went when it was pretty dead. And there was still not much room to move. I'm 50/50 in recommending this place. The one in Richmond is much better. This one leaves me wanting more.
