the beef tongue and the asparagus were really good.

Came here because the place across the street was full. Prices are quite high and they don't serve free tea either as usual for these places. I would go elsewhere next time. Price value for food quantity is not good compared to other options. The food tastes fine, not spectacular.

The quality of the fish is delicious, however I would stay away from the spicy rolls as the sauce they put on top can be over whelming. The sushi rice could be a bit firmer. The ebi mayo was plated like it was a Chinese dish with shrimp chips and all and the same spicy sauce is quite overwhelming.Overall the food is good however my issue is with the service. Seems the restaurant is understaffed and kitchen orders can take a while. There was an unfortunate incident where one dish was wrong and they failed to fix the issue which soured our night out (as you parents know, a night out is hard to come by). I won’t be back.

A little bit on the pricey side, but then again I haven't eaten out in Vancouver in almost two years lol, so maybe it's the norm?? I dunno, though definitely way pricier than my regular Surrey spots... But! That being said, that is the sole reason I'm not giving it 5 stars, because everything else was great! The waitstaff especially deserve 10 stars!! They were fast, courteous, and super friendly! The food we ordered was also delicious! I just don't know if it lived up to the premium price tag, but again, everything else was great. I'd rather pay a bit more for great service than pay less for terrible service.

I honestly debated between a 4 and a 5 star here but ultimately settled on 5 because of the level of service. I wavered on 4 due to some of the pricing but after some careful thought I came to the conclusion that the quality of the items were most definitely worth their price tag.Unfortunately we ate the sushi faster than I could think of taking a picture of it, but it truly tasted amazing. We ordered the Crazy Salmon and it was so rich and creamy with a melt in your mouth feeling. We also ordered the Torched Salmon with a Jalapeño topping and the quality was just as good. The establishment itself has table separated by dividers and overall felt clean and well maintained. Our server was patient and very friendly. We often would ask what the chef was making because it smelled so good or looked amazing and our server would find out for us. The server also gave us more time to figure out what we wanted since it was our first time there. The images attached were Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki Pancake and the Wasabi Tacos. The Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki were sooooo good! Melt in your mouth and full of flavor.Definitely recommend this spot! A bit on the pricey side but the quality of the food, the service and the establishment itself speaks volumes.

Best Tempura and great sashimi! We love that they have Oden!

A solid izakaya which seems like you can order anything and everything. Where they lack in quality in some aspects- they make up for it in variety! Also, some of the meals were fantastic, notably the scallops served on the shell and aburi sushi set. The cocktails here are a bit weak, get some sake or beer.

After being refused to serve at Seiza, Kaori was our next best option at 9 pm. As we entered, a server dropped a tray of dishes on the floor and you can imagine the scene followed by the smell of bleach after cleaning the spot. There was a loud table with a drunk uncle that turned out to be the chef's friends. The food is good and nothing to complain about. We found the prices maybe 10_15% higher than the restaurants on the same level and perhaps this is going to be a usual practice after COVID. Miso soup was good with adequate amount of seaweed and tofu. The tuna salmon sashimi combo was okay too, fresh and satisfactory size of sashimi. The Crazy Salmon Roll, $16, was nothing crazy. In fact, it was a bit blunt and missed some sauce. The servants were quick and responsive, but the chef handled the food with no mask or hair net. Some staff thought the stacked plates was a the best place to leave some keys and earbuds.

Great staff, fresh sushi, mine (tuna avocado and negitoro rolls) were both very delicate in flavour, which I enjoy but you might not. The spicy tuna was spot on spicy!

Overall not bad. Came here last night for my first time and everything tasted great, especially the fried chicken. Spacing is adequate, with tables apart. Only knock is there was a table that was really obnoxiously loud, lots of yelling from a birthday going on, which detracted from our experience. Staff explained it was a birthday and didn't do anything about it. I would come back if it weren't for that.
