Came in on a stop on a tour of the neighbourhood.Ordered the vegan mushroom dumplings and was extremely pleased with the dough and filling flavour. There’s an impressive number of dumplings and buns in freezers for takeaway.
not a great variety of selections but if you’re looking for dumplings or buns then this spot is perfect! They taste pretty good (our favorite were the pork buns but we also liked the pork and vegetable pot stickers, ha gow, and won ton soup). I also liked how they sold frozen options if you want to take home. Not that many sitting options as it is more of a takeout place or grab and go rather than a sit down restaurant. Lacked more options such as vegetables or noodles but what they did offer was good.
Worth Trying.Nice local shop, renovated, clean and spacious with a wide variety of buns and take home Dim Sum.Picked two snacks, roughly $2 -$3 each.BBQ bao is okay, doesn't have real BBQ pork so the flavours are a bit muted. Decent filling portion. Jumbo deluxe bao is a fun one, with pork, salted egg, chinese sausage and more. I'd recommend you try this all-in-one breakfast bao - it's quite large and worth the try.I'd come back for their Dim Sum offerings and other baos as the price is right and the quality is par.
Great little place to grab dim sum or pork bun to eat-in or take home a pack for your freezer. We walked 1+km from the central area of Vancouver (Burroughs Station) to Chinatown. Don't do this. It's best to drive - parking was all around and easy. What did Vancouver let happen to this area?
Literally THE best family business and amazing food. Everything is made on-site. The packaged dim sum may be frozen, but don’t let that fool you one bit- it packs a hefty punch of flavour! My favourites are the ha gow, pork and shrimp siu mai, beef meatball, shrimp wonton, pork beancurd, vegan mushroom dumpling, turnip cake, pork and chive dumpling, lotus leaf wrap, blackbean sparerib, chicken feet, mung bean sticky rice, BBQ pork bun(best in the city), salted custard bun, red bean bun. My grandma’s favourite is the peanut sticky rice wrap. She said they taste just like the ones her mother taught her to make, so you know they’re super authentic!!! Shop local, support legacy businesses, and save Chinatown!
This is the perfect place to stop for a quick bite to eat - tasty food and fast service at the counter. I recommend going here for a casual and quick lunch or snack.I have been to a lot of the other "fancy" dim sum places in Vancouver and so far the siu mai here has been the best.
This dim sum restaurant and shop is top knotch. We popped in for lunch and ordered soup, mushroom dim sum, and bbq pork buns - they were the best buns we've had for a while! Like other reviews said, the food is *quality* and all nicely handmade onsite. They have lots of options including a few vegetarian / vegan for takeout or dine-in.
Do not recommend their pork and peanut zongzi (wrapped sticky rice dumplings). There was not a single piece of pork but a big fat piece of fat only! Also, the nuts were not soft at all, but the manager kept insisting that the supplier cooked the nuts for seven hours! She also insinuated that the meat might have dissolve into the sticky rice. LOL. Don't you think the fat would've dissolved first and not the meat? Not only bad food, but bad service too. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Really tranditional HK style dim sum, we paied 40 dollar for all the freshly made frozen dim sum. They taste just as good when you make them at home!
Very good old Kong Kong style dim sum.Good priceGood quality.???
