This was my second visit to Joon’s Kitchen. Small location, but they keep the place spotless and well organized. The staff is very well trained, professional and helpful.I love their food! They made the food to perfection. I always go to their sashimi combo. All the ingredients are fresh and got delicate touches. I would love to recommend kimchi soup.Overall, Joon’s kitchen is a perfect cozy neighbourhood restaurant. I would highly recommend Joon’s Kitchen, and you won’t be disappointed!!
I came here with my grandma for lunch and the food was really really delicious, some people may find it bland but in my opinion everything is just less sodium which is perfect for our grandparents taste buds. Servers are really friendly and polite! Food takes a little while to get here but I understand since I only saw 1-2 chefs. Restaurant is clean and cute! This is my grandparents favorite new Korean restaurant!
I love this place the food is excellent!!! I request certain dishes that the owner and the chef was great !!! T he service is impeccable and Joon theowner is super nice !!! number 1 Korean best restaurant and 5 stars ⭐️ I miss eating here and lots of take out I brought often my friends herethey love it too ❤️❤️❤️
Definitely my go-to korean place in the Fairview area!! Joon the owner was very friendly and warm! His team from the kitchen to the servers are outstanding! They always ready to listen and help you! I gotta say for almost 4 years dining with them the food is consistently delicious! Definitely reasonably price! I highly suggest to call for reservations if your planning to have a dinner with friends or family! Hope to see you all on my next visit with them!!!
I went here for dinner because of good review. However, the first impression I got from the restaurant was “not clean”. I don’t like to put negative reviews but I think the owner should know that they need to think about hygiene more especially if they handle raw fishes. (I can smell washroom while I eat sushi)The food I think it was okay and I liked the mackerel aburi sushi. However, overall food price was questionably pricy. The quality and quantity can be improved.Especially the LA galbi was too pricy for the size. The presentation of food is nice and I think that’s why this restaurant is still with good reviews. You can find better sushi place in BC than this place but if you are in the area and really like mackerel sushi, you may check this place out.Food: 3Hygiene: 1Presentation: 4Atmosphere: 3
I was so disappointed they didn’t give me chopsticks twice. The second time, I asked them to give me chopsticks seriously. But they didn’t. I realized that when I served the food for my kids. Both times I ordered for three-four people through phone not using app. We were not at home. So should I use my hand?!? to have sushi?
This is a local gem. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere, very personable service and grea food. Everything we ordered was delicious and very well made by true Korean standards. Ingredients were as fresh as they could be. They don't have a large menu but what they do serve, they serve them perfectly. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. One of the most surprising part was the sushi. It is difficult to find such fresh yet near room temperature raw fish being served, especially at this price. This is obviously because room temperature fish tastes the best but doesn't last long, which is why common sushi places serve fish a bit cold and some low end places even serve almost frozen fish! But Joon's Kitchen served them as you'd expect in a top-end restaurant but at a regular price. You can taste the difference. I now have a new favorite restaurant!
Excellent food and service. Their tartar beef and wasabi tako was unexpectedly good. However, the amount of tako in the combo dish was a bit too little, wish they could add some more.We also love their healthy, fresh and refreshing mushroom salad.Their seafood pancake was one of their signature dishes. It’s crispy and tasty, but we have totally forgotten to take photo as it was finished in no time.Their sashimi platter was fresh as well.Overall a great place for dinner.
Phenomenal service, and the food was out of this world. So flavorful. The sweet and spicy fried chicken is a must. The beef sashimi bimimbap and tuna tataki were also delicious.I would highly recommend checking this place out. A new favourite for sure
Tasty authentic Korean flavors and good portions and variety in their lunch box that I tried. Friendly staff.
