We did not hear of this place until a few days before our visit and there were no reservations available. We decided to walk-in and get on a waiting list and were seated with a clear indication that we had 2 hours to dine until they needed the tables back. Service was fast, very friendly and attentive as well as gentle reminders of last call for happy hour. We ordered: - *shrimp cocktail (2 jumbo shrimps) - *shrimp tempura (2 jumbo shrimps) - *shrimp tacos (2 tacos with 2 large shrimps, slightly spicy, flour tortilla's) - lobster/shrimp mini-rolls - 1.50 oysters - truffle fries - shrimp dinner (not happy hour, 5 jumbo shrimps, asparagus, golden beets, potatoes) - seafood pasta (not happy hour, shrimps, scallops and creamy sauce on linguine) When they say jumbo, they mean it. Size of shrimps on dinner are very simular to size of the cocktail shrimps. Everything was fresh, nicely plated and delicious. My only complaint is that some of the oysters were quite small and they were malpeques which I don't really like because it's a shallow oyster and too briny for me. If I were to visit again, I'd get the * one's, in multiples, order a salad and sides of veggies like the brussel sprouts with bacon. Worth the visit if you are in town.
What a great experience of seafood and steak cooked at perfection in the heart of Vancouver/BC. Very friendly staff and a great, authentic atmosphere with nice seating. We have loved the Cesar Salad, the crab cakes & the filet mignon with sauce béarnaise. We will be back for sure!
We visited Joe Fortes Seafood Restaurant for dinner on 8-7-22. It was fabulous. We would recommend it to anyone while in Vancouver BC
My wife and I went on our anniversary. It was a fantastic experience. The menu came with a congratulatory note on it and they provided a free desert for my wife at the end of the meal. We always go to Joeâs for special occasions because of the amazing food and service, and will continue to do so. First rate!

Fun, lively spot, with excellent food and service. Highly recommend. Portions are large and perfect for sharing. A great way to start our Vancouver visit.
