Hot Dogs Food Stands
(604) 569-1158

There’s two ways to look at this: 1) a super overpriced, immobile hot dog and snacks stand or 2) a fun stop-by street food shop. I think the latter is more appropriate and warrants a higher rating. The food tastes… good, but it’s definitely overpriced and service is slow (for what it is… which is a hot dog). I’d go occasionally to satisfy a craving or to try it for the first time, but not for regular meals.

Was here 7 years ago and have been raving to my wife about it ever since. Finally able to return to Vancouver and made it a “must stop in” location. Still as I remembered. Would recommend sticking with the Kurobuta Terimayo pork hot dog as the Wagyu beef hot dog really was not worth the extra cost. My wife gave it a thumbs up as well, although she may not be reminiscing about it as much as I will. Fast food can be tasty and creative. Carry on, gang! You do it right!

The hot dogs are OK. Worth a visit just to say you had a hot dog with unorthodox toppings. However, the real star of the menu is the takoyaki (fried squid balls). They were VERY good. If I come back, I'll be foregoing the hotdogs in favour of these.

I ordered the Okonomi, it was really good! I was a little apprehensive (I’m very basic and non-adventurous when it comes to dogs- mustard only ?), but I’m glad I took a chance on this place. Would definitely come back!

It’s just a joint and could be cleaner but we loved their selection of Asian-style hot dogs and other fast specialties. Hi

Food:Tastes great, and prepared moderately quickly. Since this a tourist spot and a local foodie spot it's pretty busy. My wife and I ended waiting roughly 15 to 20 minutes while the staff were hustling on a bigger order.Environment:The restaurant is small and the tables serve mostly as a waiting room to get away from the exhaust fumes and trash stacked outside. Eating outside is basically two busted up benches and covering your food from getting smoked out by the exhaust passing down the road.Overall rating:I would visit again if it was en route elsewhere but will unlikely go out of way to eat there again. I would recommend it to others. It wasn't memorable enough of a place to have me waiting outside of the door or inside with my family for as long as we did.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do in Vancouver, but I knew I wanted to go to Japadog and it lived up to my expectations! I had the Yakisoba Dog and my husband had the Yakiniku Rice. Both were phenomenal! Unlike anything you can get anywhere else. We’re already trying to figure out if we can go back tomorrow!

This is worth a visit -if you like hotdogs. Japanese flavors, high quality beef, good bun. The seaweed is an interesting contrasting flavor. I am not a fan of hot dogs though, so the lower rating reflects that.

This place is a must try for anyone looking to experience Asian food in Vancouver,A real unique gem for ?? Japanese way ?hot dogs, lots of options. They serve poutines fries with gravy sauce and cheese, Takoyaki creamy balls filled with diced octopus ? if you prefer trying something else beside their hot dogs.Place is very small inside for dine in, service was quick expect line ups inside, food was fresh , vegetarian sausages ? availablewhich is appreciated, staff was helpful and friendly !

If you haven’t tried Japadog yet then you must!! So delicious and lots of options to chose from, you really can’t go wrong. I love that they are open late, we flew in at night & were able to have a great meal at midnight.
