Very tiny, super casual with a good vibe. If you are looking for something between a Cafe and a bar this is a good option. Only about 5 tables. The patio looks like it is the place to be when the weather inproves. They have limited wine, cocktails and a fair sized food menu. I was excited to try the chicken pesto flat bread, but it was very meh. The chorizo mac an cheese was wow wow wow. So good. I tried their Old Fashioned, one maple and one regular. Both too sweet. $16/drink. I don't think they should charge so much when they are not really that impressive. This is a cute and different option, good people watching location. I'd suggest trying out the happy hour. The pizza was about $15 and so was the mac and cheese. I believe some food is discounted during HH.
Such a chill vibe! The music was on point. Service was friendly. The strawberry cheesecake strudel was amazing and the build your own boozy coffee is a must! Love the concept - desserts and drinks are a greay combo. Open late. Will definitely revisit!
I come here when I want to treat myself. Or just to enjoy a cup of coffee at later hours. The apple strudel latte is amazing - a drink made out of the same filling they put into their strudel. The blueberry pastry was just pure delicacy & the staff is very friendly too. Dim light makes you feel like you're in a bar, which you technically are - they have alcoholic drinks too :) Found this gem when all other coffee shops closed for covid, hehe - they're missing out. This place seriously needs more recognition!

The missus and I have seldom strayed far from the comfort of Burnaby in the recent months after settling here, so the allure of strudels (something that we've missed devouring since last year when we used to hog on the guava strudels of 85°C in California *droolll*) was the perfect excuse to drive to Vancouver. It was easy enough to find street parking a short distance away from the place, so that took care of one major worry of mine whenever heading to Downtown!True to its name, Honeybrew Strudel Bar is a neat little bar that offers a good selection of yummy strudels along with drinks. We received friendly service from Brandon and Tanya who patiently answered our questions and helped us decide what to order with their recommendations.Tempted by the different options on display, we ended up purchasing some more strudels to please the sweet teeth! ? We opted for the Strawberry Cheesecake Strudel which was just perfect - flaky, creamy and delicious! We also got the Peach Strudel and the Apple Strudel which we've preserved for brunch on Sunday (if these survive our midnight snacking during the ongoing Australian Open tennis matches, that is!). The Chai Latte was yumm but slightly on the sweeter side - just a reminder that you can request for the sweetness level to be toned down.Highly recommend this place, be it for a quick bite during the day time (they even offer savory quiche and Bistro options!) or for a drink and dessert combo (unusual yet cool!) in the evenings.
One of the best apple strudel i have ever had. Great and speedy service as well. Recommend the apple strudel with ice cream.
I thought this strudel bar can be a new interesting spot to visit in Downtown. I visited on a Friday later afternoon and ordered the beer and chorizo sausage combo ($12) from their happy hour menu. Sounded like a good deal but the sausages were so dry especially on the edges (as if it was cooked in a microwave kind of dry) I could not even finish it..the beer was mediocre too. The waiter dropped one of the 2 sausages when he was bringing the plate to my table, and he was busy trying to set up patio tables....weren't they supposed to be ready earlier?! Anyways, I did not feel comfortable there so I left quickly.
EXCELLENT SERVICE. COZY ATMOSPHERE. DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINKS. These are the words I thought of after going to Honeybrew last night. I have been watching this place slowly build itself to opening day as I live on Howe street. They have absolutely crushed it and I can’t wait to go back.Strawberry Cooler and Gin Smash - Must try as these were so flavourful.Spinach Flatbread - Great to share size. Generous toppings. The hot sauce I asked for on the side was so delicious I was in heaven.Apple Strudel with Ice Cream - This is where the magic happened. I have been waiting for a strudel from here like a kid on Christmas and it did not disappoint! I am looking forward to trying all of their flavours.Thank you Honeybrew for a wonderful date night. I hope that you have the brightest future with this delicious strudel bar. Much love from a local :)
On the outside it looks inviting and cozy. The staff were welcoming but it switched around pretty quickly. The staff watches you constantly (tall male that works there), server mixed up so many things on our tabs, chairs are uncomfortable and how are you a strudel bar with two strudels??? So much potential here, step it up.
Amazing dessert! And very friendly staffs. Will be back
