The sides like mac n cheese nuggets, deep fried pickles, jalapeno poppers and munchers are very tasty snacks, and the apples pies and fries are quite good too. However, taking away one star for customer service. The cashiers spend a lot of time chatting at laughing with each other while even ignoring customers who are waiting in line to order. They got my order wrong today because they were joking around with each other instead of paying attention while packing the food.
Probably the worst chicken burger I’ve ever had.Hardly a flaccid chicken strip between two buns.I paid 9.45 for a chicken burger that wasn’t even half chicken!On top of that I received a Warm pop to wash my condiment burger down.The sauce selection and quality was awesome.The wedges, also great.
I saw that High Five Chicken is now offering breakfast so I decided to order a few items- Blueberry Muffin- Waffle with Chicken- Apple Fritter Donut- Tot PoutineAll items were decent for a fast food place. I found all food to be pretty good.The Tot Poutine should've came with the Gravy in a separate container. Instead they added the gravy at the restaurant, by the time you receive it, the gravy is soaked into the tots.The Waffle Chicken comes with maple syrup gravy. Its an interesting combination, both rich, salty , and sweet at the same time.
I stopped going there a year ago when they messed up almost all the takeouts I and my friends ordered. When we got back home we never had what we ordered. Recently I visited the place to check, guess what? it's worse than ever. Now they ask extra for wedges on the side and now you have to order Onion rings separately for unreasonable price! And this time I ordered for dine in and guess what I got? Old burned oily crispy chicken. I don't know why people are still coming here where there's Church's Chicken as a far far better option.
Ordered the chicken tenders, onion rings, and fried pickles to share with my partner. The tenders were juicy, but the batter wasn't fried crisp, and even it had been the way they're packaged in an unventilated foil bag would have steamed them soggy anyway. As it was, the batter was sloughing off the chicken like the bad guys' faces in Raiders of the Lost Ark.My partner said the pickles were great and lamented not ordering more of them, and we both agreed that the onion rings were among the best we'd ever had — like, 90's Red Robin-tier. If they could just step their tendies game up (ventilated cardboard boxes, fellas, try em) we'd be regulars.
Ordered 3 orders of 5 pcs of drumsticks from their Kingsway, Burnaby location today for a family of 4. I received only 3 pcs of drumsticks.
So disappointed with the smokehouse bbq sandwich. Can barely taste the bbq sauce and the chicken is barely there for 9.45! Would not recommend and will definitely won’t order again. I posted a picture as well what it should look like and you can be the judge.
Just ordered from Hi Five - was having high expectations, as they have been consistently good.Shocked to see this under-baked style of chicken served to us (the skin was not even slightly charred).The skin had the texture of a boiled chicken - wonder if that's the standard quality? ?
Hi Five never lets us down.My boyfriend and I come here from time to time and it's always delicious and fresh. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. I always recommend this place when people talk about fried chicken. Hands down the best chicken I've literally ever had. Puts Popeyes to shame ;)
If you guys get a chance to try their roasted chicken, it's a must it's delicious and juicy. Unfortunately it's not available at the moment but if it's back, give it a try.I order up front and they'd serve me a fresh batch everytime I go. Their service is amazing, not only do they smile and greet me kindly, they'd give freebies here and there. Love these guys, keep it up~
