Everything was great, just disappointed that they no longer offer the premium beef tongue.

Our burner for the table was kind of broken. Only half of the burner was on. We told our server and he attempted to fix it but it didn't work. They did not switch us to another table as the burner was still half working...

the group menu has changed from 2 months ago, less meat for the same price, weekends are happy hour so you can choose the happy hour menu, but the price has also gone up. Quality of food and service are still great as always.
The last three times we've been you are having a lot of problems with the grills not staying lit. Not sure what's going on with that, technically, but it has become more of a problem lately than in the years past. Restaurant was very smokey this time. Need a better ventilation system, and maybe keep the doors open. Other than that, food was excellent, service was good, and you had every item in stock this time. ð
Great place. We have lived in Japan for two years and the ambiance, food and drink are really similar. A real pleasure to find a little place of Japan in Vancouver.
