Dim sum tastes amazing. The restaurant am be quite chaotic especially close to noon time. I’ve had experiences that I called ahead for take-out, arrived later than the expected time, and still had to wait for the food. I guess this is how you know the food is fresh! If your can get up early, eating dim sum at 9 am isn’t too bad. The restaurant doesn’t get too packed.

One of my go to dim sum houses. Their servers are super friendly and that is one thing that makes me and my family feel welcome and makes us return. Their deep fried squid is one of the BEST in Vancouver. No tentacles! Seasoned nicely and always fresh and has a crispy bite.

Haven't had push cart dim sum in a very long time and was not disappointed! Wanted basic dim sum restaurant and that's what we got. None of this pretentious truffle dim sum business.Food was great, exactly what I was looking for. It was my first time here so not much to compare to. Most of the items were large and XL or special which means on average it would cost $8 a dish. Just over $100 including tax and tip for 5 of us.Loved their egg yolk buns as the dessert, so runny and good. The baked tapioca was so so. Loved the braised tendons, very flavorful as was the chicken feet. The glutinous rice in the lotus leaf wrap was smaller than expected but still tasty. Oh and the seafood salad egg roll was also memorable, in a good way ☺️The hostess scans your vaccine card when you enter and checks ID. The place was pretty busy with the tables pretty close together and no dividers. We made a reservation and didn't have to wait when we arrived, which was great! There was a little robot that went around with tea pots but not entirely sure of it's purpose as our tea pots were filled and taken away by the servers. Service was great as well, very quick and efficient with amazing memory of what we would verbally order.

This restaurant has the best shrimp dumpling: large portions of dim sum and their baked tapioca pudding is just delicious! Not too sweet with a perfect crispy pastry top and a nice soft tapioca custard. I took a star off because they do use msg in their dim sum and it makes your mouth so dry. I’m hoping that Golden Swan will become a msg-free restaurant one day.

Excellent dim sum and reasonable price, and quick service

Today was my first time here. But definitely not my last ! They diligently checked our COVID and picture id’s. Lunch for the 3 of us was under $70.00 for the 12 dishes And we needed a doggie bag. We couldn’t eat it all. We ordered off the menu and picked dishes from the carts going by. Everything was delicious. Bottomless tea. Lots of people but well spaced. The people were very talkative so the noise level was high but definitely not disturbing. That kind of noise is uplifting (as was the food). Good, efficient and friendly service.

One of the best dim sum place l have had in awhile. First of all, they give you a lot of tea leaves in the tea pot (no tea bag please). The tea is one of the most important for dim sum! ordered the popular siu mai, chicken feet. The do the siu mai the traditional way I’m used to in HK. No fancy fusion ways, just like the old fashion way. If you are an early bird like me this restaurant opens early

Dim sum quality average and portion is big, large dining room, staff very nice

Haven't been to Golden Swan for dinner in a long time! They always have very good dinner sets. The dinner set (meant for 4 ppl) we got included: fish maw chicken soup, ginger green onion lobster, soy sauce halibut pieces, fish maw and veggies in soup stock, 4 rice and 4 red bean soup. Very good portions and delicious!! They have other dinner sets as well. The restaurant wasn't full, maybe 1/2 full for a Friday night. Their dimsum is really good too, one of the remaining dimsum restaurants that still have the dimsum carts. Very nostalgic!

My last post was for take out. This post is for the dining in experience for Dim Sum. We went to the restaurant on Oct 24, 2021.All the food was great, service was good and restaurant as a whole was tidy and bright. Was a great relaxing time. We had our fill and was pleasantly surprised to see that they have an Robot Server. Well it didn't take orders but brought food to tables or took dishes away.Must try spot for everyone.Great food! That says it all!!!I do take out for dim sum and dinner but going in person is the best way to go! Portions are bigger for dinner if you dine in.
