We had brunch here. We ordered the Benedict eggs, ham for me and smoked salmon for my friend. The hollandaise sauce was great and the eggs perfectly cooked. I took one star off because we found that the sauteed potatoes were too greasy and would have appreciated a more generous plate. We will probably come back to try the dinner menu.

We came in on Sunday Feb 13 with the anticipation of the Valentine's Day set menu. Long story short, there was a miscommunication between Herve and I and we couldn't get the Valentine's Day set menu as it was only offered for Monday Feb 14th only.A bit disappointed for us at first because we had our hopes up and had cancelled a previous reservation to be at the French Table. Let me share with you how thoughtful, kind, and considerate Herve was to us; above and beyond. Because the Feb 14 menu was not ready, Herve offered us some of the items that were ready. He did not have to do that but I truly appreciate and recognize the effort he made to try to compromise. In the end, the Feb 14 items and regular menu did not catch our appetites but luckily for us, the French Table were offering specials that night. For appetizers, we had the French Onion soup and the scallops for starters. Hearty broth and gooey cheese with each bite. As for drinks, we had a glass of house red and white wine. For the mains, we had the Pan-seared skirt steak with paprika butter sauce and the Beef Wellington. Oh my goodness, it was the best; cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths. My partner shared a piece of her Beef Wellington with me and later regretted giving me too big of a piece. For dessert, we had the Tart Tartin and the Creme Caramel. Nice, light, and not too sweet to finish off.It was a blessing in disguise. We had a fantastic Valentine's day dinner and couldn't be happier; until Herve topped it off even more that night. Due to the miscommunication of the Feb 14th menu, Herve came by to our table to express his sincerity and apologies of the situation and personally handed us his homemade Blackcurrant jam from his farm in Aldergrove. How sweet is this guy?We left the French Table that night with our bellies and hearts full. The one thing I request of Herve is to share when his team will make the Beef Wellington and Skirt steak specials again because we are definitely coming back!Herve, you are an awesome, knowledgeable, kind, and considerate owner.Thank you so much!

Very memorable visit. Beautiful Parisian café style decor and lots of care taken on the food. I went for brunch and had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. Classic done right. Chef came out to check on us and let us know that the owner actually grows all of their produce himself! He chatted with us for awhile and then brought us some freshly made chicken liver mousse on the house. Can't recommend these guys enough, fantastic hospitality and I look forward to trying the dinner menu!

It’s a lovely place and we came in really hoping for a great experience as we love French cuisine. Unfortunately the service was disappointing and that tainted the experience as appetizers were enjoyable and cocktails were great. Then I made a mistake of asking for a a different wine by the glass to match my halibut main. I had a Viogner prior to that. The waiter looked annoyed. Asked if I wanted a better wine, a sweeter wine or a red. I’ve asked for a bartender to recommend a white by the glass to match with halibut. The attitude was surprising, but also hilarious, as this was such a simple ask. The service went downhill from there. The deconstructed halibut Wellington was also sadly disappointing. The flaky crust was stale and pale, the garnish was over salted kale, the halibut itself sinewy would be closest description.

Ok this is the third time dining at French Table! What can I say, I’m coming back for more! Goal is to eventually try the entire menu!So far, I’ve had the Wellington (special), the escargot, garlic prawns, charcuterie, New York steak, and cause I’m a chocoholic the chocolate profiterole! On our second visit, the owner Hervie prepared a special Hermitage Lobster dinner! Special order! Absolutely outstanding dish as this dish was brought over from Hervie’s previous restaurant that was rated and received a Michelin star designation! If you want fine French dining and a romantic evening out with that some one special, the ambiance is fantastic and service outstanding!Wine selection is awesome! Make sure you ask for the French wines from the Desfontaine Freres! Hmmmm! One day I hope to visit this winery! And make sure to ask Hervie to tell the story about this winery!Would I recommend this eatery? Absolutely!

The owner Herve Martin apparently has been in the business for decades. And apparently he doesn't care about the customers experience. We had dinner ON Valentines Day, where, the "experience" is possibly the most important part of the dinner. And when we received our Halibut, it was barely warm. We called the server over & asked if they could warm it u. They apologized and went to warm it up. They brough it back. We felt the plate & it was piping hot & when we tasted the food and it was barely warm still. We complained again and for the second time & asked them to warm it up again. It came back for the 2nd time & it was FINALLY hot enough. Meanwhile, I had finished my dinner already. By the time, we asked for the bill, there was no discount or complimentary drink discounted. We had paid for a bottle of wine, 4 cocktails & a pre-set dinner meal. We called the manager over. An apparently well experienced owner, Herve Martin, continued to explain that since we ate the entire meal, there would be no discount. PLEASE. DO NOT GO TO THIS HORRIBLE RESTAURANT. The overall experience is horrible. Our server was very friendly but clearly took direction from his unprofessional manager/owner, the very famous Herve Martin. If you don't have a good experience, there will be nothing done to ensure you come back. I know I will DEFINITELY NEVER GO BACK!!! And I hope you all stay away from this place. There is definitely a better place out there! Even McDonalds would do something to ensure your experience is good. They would comp your nuggets if they had to...... McDonalds....... A high end French restaurant. Nope. Take your money & laugh all the way to the bank. I have NEVER not tipped for my experience in my life. Today, zero tip on over $250 dollar bill. Sorry server but you need to look for work where the owner has integrity. Clearly he is only concerned about the dollar. Not the concern of the customer.

As traditionally French as Disney’s Ratatouille.Booked this place over a month in advance for anniversary dinner. Was very excited to try on the basis of recommendation, and seemed a pleasant place on arrival, but appearances are deceiving. The worst service I’ve ever had in my life, let alone Vancouver. Rude is an understatement. Arrogant, wouldn’t accept critique or fault. Condescending. The server placed our fondue on the table crooked, and when we went to straighten it, my fiancé scolded her hand. Server and manager were overly defensive, unapologetic despite no prior warning that dishes were hot. The manager told us not to make a big deal out of it, and that we were over reacting, rather than apologize.Food was average and overpriced. ‘Traditional’ French cuisine is pushing it - about as traditionally french as Disney’s Ratatouille. Won’t be returning. My fiancé left in tears and the night was ruined. We’ve worked in hospitality our whole lives and have never experienced service so poor or degrading. The restaurant across the road where we went for dessert gave us packs of cloth and ice and were more helpful and understanding than The French Table.

Exquisite atmosphere and service. Brilliant family produced Pinot Noir from the Bourgogne. The foods from the baguette to dessert were outstanding. The French Table in Vancouver has outshined our restaurant experiences of French Burgundy of this fall season of 2021❣️

I wanted to give my boyfriend the French experience of the raclette, which we booked to have. Got there and they served us a bowl of melted cheese on plain potatoes. When I asked about it, the waiter condescendingly told me that they haven’t served that dish in the past two years due to Covid, which he hadn’t mentioned when I ordered it. Obviously condescending due to our age (18). I argued with the big boss man about how I was intending to pay for the full raclette and not a pile of potatoes and cheese (32$ each) Rude from the second we walked in smh.
