I have wanted to try this place forever and we finally did! We were craving a real seafood meal, and that’s what we got. Mussels were absolutely delicious, and the platter was so great. The blackened Arctic char was the highlight for sure. A huge serving for 2 people. The mojitos were also fabulous. The place was completely packed by the time we ordered, and the 1 server was doing a terrific job. She was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed ourselves and the food. We will be back! (For crab cakes!)
The single best piece of fish I have ever had in my life. The waitress was personable and friendly. I will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to all of my friends!
I absolutely love this place. This is the type of place you see in movies where the small local fish restaurant has one chef and two waitresses who know the local patrons by name and their usual orders.My favorite dish on the menu is their fish burger. If you’re a fan of blackened fish or focaccia bread this menu item is for you. I’ve had both the salmon and red snapper options and I’ve been impressed every time. The fish is always cooked to perfection and the focaccia bread *chef kiss*The fries are also always crispy and fresh which just competes the dish.Make sure to get some of their tarter sauce on side because it’s the perfect blend of creamy and tart.I will note that the typical wait time for your food to be served feels a bit longer than most restaurants but when you’re served amazing food, the wait time doesn’t matter. Order a drink and enjoy the company around you.
Once again, Marcus served us the most delicious blackened Halibut. Fresh fish cooked to perfection. His attention to serving the most crumptus fish is the reason we love frequenting the Fish Cafe.
The steelhead is very good. You can get rice, fries or half and half, along with one of four different sauces.

If this is one of Vancouver's best Fish and Chip's then someone needs to check the data. Poor perhaps even Denny's type of batter, average fries although seemed to be homemade but I will say the fish was of good quality.
Have been eating here for a few years. High time for a review — as their fish is consistently cooked to perfection! Excellent salads and side dishes. Most of all — kind staff, they care. Thanks!
Just great . I have tried there fish and chips they are so nice and the sauce is perfect with decent portion and the ambience is warm and welcoming
I really like the ambiance of this small cafe- casual and no nonsense. My partner and I prefer places like this where there is a limited menu with all the dishes executed very well. It's also an added bonus to be able to choose how your fish will be prepared (grilled, blackened or fried), and of course the fish is fresh & prepared to perfection.
