Inflation lives here too! This was my jam all thru the pandemic lockdowns, unfortunately the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Still not a bad chicken sammich, but definitely not the best anymore. Plan on bringing $20 for a burger and fries...and plan on waiting around for 25 minutes for them to cook it up. Had the original sando today, and immediately regret it as soon as finished. You guys were so good. What happened? ?

This place is honestly to die for. I usually dine in but today I got take out during work and it was just as amazing. Definitely god sent, every ingredient in this burger makes it unforgettable. I can’t think of a better chicken place! Also their customer service is above and beyond amazing. All their staff are so kind and put the customer first. Nothing but the best things to say about them!!

A colleague of mine had been telling me to come to Downlo for awhile now. I love fried chicken sammies, and this place serves up a fine one! Quite a few different sandwiches to choose from and plenty of options of sauce you chicken will be tossed in! Also a choice of light or dark meat, which I’ve never had before. My 3 year old had the chicken strips and devoured them. Get some fries with your sandwich because you need these fries.

This place is amazing. The people, the food, the spice the chicken - they nailed it all. I will be visiting this place every other day until I have tried everything on their menu. A chicken lover's paradise.Tenders: I have had the extra hot and the hot and both are perfect. The skin is crispy and hot, the chicken more so. These dip offered balances the spice nicely and adds a fresh note to a very savory affair. I have had them twice, with crinkle fries. The fires could maybe do with some more seasoning but they are very crispy.OG sando and the jerk sando: OG was amazing, the chicken was tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The sauce used in the sandwich complemented the chicken very well. The chicken piece inside was a bit large for a sandwich that size making it difficult to manage it with one hand but that is just a personal preference.I did not like the Jerk Sando, the chicken was dry for my taste. It was nicely seasoned too but the chicken felt too dry and chewy making it an unpleasant experience. It is entirely possible that I got one bad sandwich and Jerk Sando is pretty good but I will only be able to confirm once I try it again.

By far the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life! I've been trying to think if I've ever had a single food item better than their chicken sandwich, and I don't think I can think of anything that's even been close...! The fries are also incredible, seasoned well, and when dipped in the DL sauce..? I was visiting from Victoria and this place was recommended by a friend, so glad I went. Honestly I'd be willing to come back to Vancouver if this place was my only stop.

Go to again for sure. Excellent chicken!!! First time here. Chicken was crunchy, juicy, and flavourful. Staff treated me really well. Order the Piled High and see what it happens.

The best quick-service restaurant in Vancouver, and the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.? I’m a big fried chicken guy, and DownLow is king. Here’s why:Light bun that doesn’t overpower the other parts of the sandwich ✅Slaw and pickles that add both sweetness and texture ✅Moist chicken that’s incredibly crispy all the way through, even in the middle of the bun ✅Customizable spice level that even at its spiciest allows you to enjoy the other elements of the sandwich ✅I cannot recommend this place enough. It will change your life. Always ask for dark meat. Every morning I wake up and pray to the effigy of Doug Stephen in my living room ‍♂️, and spend 10 minutes of meditation thinking of fries on the DownLow ?‍♂️. A must-try in Vancouver.

Delicious chicken sandwich with layers of flavor and satisfying chicken. Suggestions for ordering: ask for light sauce as I've gotten too much sauce both times I've ordered and it causes the bun to get soggy almost immediately. Also skip the fries unless you're sharing as the chicken sandwich is very large and filling. Fries are pretty good, although not as good as waffle fries from Frying Pan.

This was extremely mediocre.. To be fair, we did wait around 20 minutes to consume it because we were getting drinks from another location too but I thought the chicken itself was too crunchy instead of crispy. It was just a weird combination of textures: overly crunchy chicken and soggy soft bread. I personally much prefer popeyes chicken sandwich which is cheaper and more flavorful.

Is it a hidden gem? Or maybe I’m out of touch. These are the best chicken thighs I have ever eaten. I like that it serves with pickles, but I’m not a big fan of the bread, maybe it’s for absorbing all the chicken goodness at the bottom, I just saved them for my wife, I saved her a piece of chicken too, so I’m not a total jerk. LOL.
