I usually go to the commercial location but qas in the area so I went to this location. Very clean location and friendly peachy staff.Management seems to be spectacular here, and Anna prepared my falafel donair, fresh and with love. Will definitely go back and look forward to seeing these awesome people again for their amazing food (:
Price reflects amount and quality. I love you can choose what you want/love.Just sooooooooo good!!!I normally order their falafel pita. Always delish!!
Had to have a donair before leaving town. Happy I chose Donair dude. Different from what I'm used to back home but delicious none the less. Lamb isn't common in Edmonton so I had to try it, this with a large selection of veggies, pickles, turnips and sauces I knew it was going to be a good experience. The meat was a bit low portion wise but it tasted great, it was a nice change from your typical beef donair meat. The way the donair was built was also different from Edmonton, the pita is cut open filled with the ingredients and grilled. This was a nice change as well. Would like to see a place like Donair Dude up in Edmonton one day to shake things up.
Not even a month ago this place was consistently sending good stuff when I would order. Now if the last three or four orders has been absolute garbage with soft rotten cucumbers and tomatoes and chicken that almost taste kind of cheesy probably because it’s been sitting around for so long. I had no idea that it was more of a franchise type thing but now that I look on Google Maps I understand why the quality is lacking. I will never spend another dollar with them and I will look for the family run businesses like the other guy suggested
I tried their lamb donair with caramel as desert and they are both terrible!! Their lamb is so old and the lettuce tastes bitter (it is probably rotten too). I ordered caramel but this is not caramel it is some sweet desert but definitely not caramel.
Donair Dude in Kits is a bit far from where I live. But everytime Im in the west area I try to stop by. Like all the Donair Dudes I have been too, the service, food quality, and the very generous proportions are the best of the best, and Donair Dude Kitsilano is no exception.Since Donair Dude opened their first location on Davie street, every other Donair/gyro places have tried to imitate them. Even down to the same interior colours, and they always fail. The other places just dont get it. Its the whole package that Donair Dude provides that they dont understand.Ive been coming to Donair dude for about 14 years, and they have me for life. I introduced alot of other people to this great place, and looks like Donair dude has them for life too. Its that good!
I have been coming here for two years at least twice a week. Today I got a trainee. Screwed up my order and the one next to me.I was given mushy veggies and 3 strips of beef donair. Took one bite and threw it out.The veggies alone would be a food safe violation.
Not recommend. I only use it sporadically when my donair craves are high because it is near me. If you go to down town Vancouver to Davie St and try a donair from a family run business you'll see the difference.
Called in last night to order takeout. No one answered the phone the first 3 times. When they did, I got “hello” followed by silence, made me think I called the wrong number. No hello, this is donair dude kitsilano, nothing. The guy over the phone was rude and blunt. Absolutely pathetic service which is such a shame coz the food is good. Please train your staff in phone etiquette.
Definitely my favorite place to enjoy a Falafel Donaire wrap... They're specifically good, which I think is related to their food quality and how they prepare it, because they do not just put things inside a pita bread, they put them and mix them Makin sure you would get a taste of all ingredients in one bite. That just remodel the place and now they have dine in option, whick is totally worth it and very nice.Totally recommended with a lot of menu options to enjoy delicious Persian food.Very recommended
