I want it to give them a zero star. The stuff there was rude, no service what so ever. I'm spend over $600 not even give us any service or deals and the stuff telling us $600 is nothing to them. They said the service they giving out is that it nothing more. This is my last time to spend my money there, because I'm promised my friends to bring them something otherwise I would give up the whole order!
Just dirty floor and not clean environment, smell and no hand wash practice. Seem like no gloves cutting raw meat is normal here.
This is my family's go to meat store for Chinese preserve or fresh meats. Great for Chinese soups, claypot rice dishes...my mom would stock up monthly from them. Sometimes they give away free soup bones too. Really authentic local Chinese butcher shop.
This place is and has been the best for some time. The prices, the quality and service is the best. I used to buy a lot of Peking ducks from here, sometimes 5-6 ducks at one time. The roasted pork is great, the bbq pork is amazing. They also sell raw meats for reasonable prices. I pay half of what I would at other similar competitors for bbq pork.
Came where when I was less than 10 with my parents and now 30 years latter I bring my kids. As flavourful as before and priced well compared to other places around town. Everyone was happy with the roasted duck, bbq, and pork
Been going here since I was a kid. Great BBQ and selection of dried meats at a very reasonable price. Authentic and truly a gem in the heart of Chinatown.Ps: The staff here don’t seem to age!
This is one of the oldest surviving businesses in Vancouver Chinatown. I can't really think of any other stores in Chinatown that has been around longer than this one…maybe the corner grocery store a few stores up the block. This meat shop has been on the same location for decades. I love their tasty BBQ ducks and soy chickens. Taste yummy ?. There are street parking available and a few parking garages in Chinatown. Every time when I go to Vancouver Chinatown I would make a stop here to get my BBQ duck. The meat is juicy and flavour is right on. They also have BBQ pork and roasted pork. In addition, the store have fresh meat as well. Dollar Meat Store also sells their own brand of Chinese sausages and flatten dried duck...good for cooking in rice cooker. Smells good. If you ever visit Vancouver Chinatown you can drop by Dollar Meat Store for some BBQ meats.
