Finally I got to try this amazing place. My wife and I both enjoyed every bite. This place is a golden gem in Kits. Simple menu is only made from local fresh ingredients and produce. The chef’s talent in creating traditional Persian dishes is extremely unique. We had the Aush with fresh made in house bread. The main dishes both came with crispy saffron rice ( yum). And we finished it with saffron ice cream.Definitely will return for more.Service was absolutely delightful and she helped us through the menu. we also were lucky to meet the chef himself.Pictures not doing justice.

Decided on Belara for a dinner with my daughter and her friends! My first time here and it was awesome! Some of the best Persian food I have had authentic but presented in a more western style! Vegetarian/vegan options are a bit limited but available. The highlight for me was the “Chicken and Barberries”…. Delicately flavoured with an amazing barberry/orange sauce. The others who had been here before told me the menu is tweaked fairly frequently … so when you do go back you get to try something different! To quote Delara - “Noosh e jaan”'May it be sweet for your soul!Would highly recommend this place … and will definitely go there again.

Had a good lunch at Delara where I enjoyed both the atmosphere and seating. The lunch menu is very limited with the Kookoo Sibzamini and the Chicken Kabob Sandwich the best of what we tried. The Marinated Smoked Olives were enjoyable and definitely very smokey. I wouldn't recommend the Beef Gheymeh as I found the lentils to overwhelm the beef making it unique but not as flavorful as the others. The Simorgh was an enjoyable cocktail although the circle ice cube fills a large portion of the glass.Overall a good lunch although perhaps dinner would present more variety if you're looking to try Delara.

Staff is very nice but dinner menu for example only has 2 short pages of food listings and 4 pages of beverages I find the dinner menu outrageously expensive, and way too high for the quantify of food you get!

The chicken and barberries was delicious! It came with yogurt and pickles that really complemented the dish and balanced the flavours. The restaurant is beautiful and bright. Service was wonderful. I will definitely have to come back for more!

A place to experience innovation and creativity in persian cuisine. Chicken breast with barberries was moist juicy and flavourful and the meat was mixed with freshly chopped herbs. short rib Gheymeh: very tender meat sitting in a well balanced-spice lentil stew. All came with a crispy crusted saffron rice which it was a little dry to my taste.I would call this place a fusion persian cuisine. Music selection and interior design were also well matched and unique.Things to improve: adding a soup or Ash style appetizers for cold Vancouver nights, maybe adding a grilled option to the Mains...

Perhaps the only fusion Persion place in town but, in my opinion, the best Persian restaurant that I have tried in Vancouver. Everything from appetizers to desserts are made tastefully with so much love and care in every dish. Cocktails are amazingly done as well. The decoration and music create a great ambiance to enjoy your food and have a relax conversation.

The dinner menu selection is limited - only four entrees and 5 starters. I ordered the fish dish (cod) and my son had the chicken kebabs. We shared the flatbread and salad starters. The food was very well prepared - the fish was cooked moist and I liked the idea of a layer of mashed potatoes on the fish. My son enjoyed his meal as well. Service was attentive and fast. I'd come back though maybe not as frequently as other places because of the small menu selection.

Delara is a fine dining, farm to table restaurant grounded in the chef's Persian roots. It is a unique and refreshing take on Middle Eastern fare (not your average kebab!). Beautiful decor, incredible service, and food filled with love and attention. Highly recommend for brunch, lunch, or dinner. I've tried all and was not disappointed!

Very impressed with the quality of the food and ambiance of this place. Not your typical persian restaurant! The Persian breakfast and Cardamon Pistachio bun were standouts.
