Can’t believe I’m just finding out about this neighbourhood diner now! We honestly randomly walked in here while looking for breakfast on a weekday morning. It wasn’t very busy at all, probably 4 other tables of diners, so we didn’t expect too much of this place at first…but it turned out to be a pleasant experience! The server was good, the coffee was hot, the food came quickly and was also hot, delicious and good value—what more can you ask for when you crave breakfast food! Will definitely be returning!
Had a great experience and great brunch.Went over without thinking as it was the closest place to our AirBnB.We walked over and were pleasantly greeted and seated.I was mostly surprised at the size of the portions. The setting, menu and food were simple. They did not try to over sell anything.It was easy to pick a meal and when we got them we were completely satisfied.I’ll be back when I’m in town.

Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try this place for breakfast. The best French Toast ever! The entire breakfast - eggs, sausage patty, hash browns and sourdough bread were done to perfection. Good coffee too. Looking forward to working my way through the menu. Well worth a visit.
Great classic diner-style brunch place in Kitsilano! Service is always great and the food is tasty, but lately the portion sizes on some dishes have gotten a bit smaller, unfortunately. Would reccomend to anyone looking for a non-fussy brunch spot in the area though!
This is my fourth visit to deacons. TLDR at the bottom…Deacons ticks every box in my checklist. The food is great and all of it is cooked just how I’d want it. The portions are massive so come hungry. You should be expecting to spend about 25$ for a full meal with a drink. The service is great, the layout is nice and the decorations are fitting, but in my opinion the EDM music is a bit too loud and I don’t understand what it is doing in a diner. Props to Dheer for great service.Will be back soon for sure.TLDR; 20-30$ meals, but they are huge and the place is nice to sit in and have a drink.

Great restaurant! Both the service and food were amazing. The food is so tasty and classic that I can’t get tired of it. The food portions are also big so the price is that much more worth it.
Won't be going back. Ordered 3 burgers and dessert and trudged through ice and snow to collect the order. Got home to find they'd forgotten the dessert! (3 burgers and dessert is not a complicated order!) When we called the guy immediately admitted he forgot our dessert, but refused to put a refund on our credit card. He insisted we trudge back through ice and snow if we wanted a refund.
