After my partner and I scraped the *processed cheese* (I could not believe my eyes) off the omelette and croissant that we each had, we ate as much of what we'd been given as we could. The potatoes were inedible. This place must have changed hands or something (I checked repeatedly that we hadn't accidentally gone into the wrong place). I know that food prices and rent must be tough in Vancouver, but it was not a restaurant quality meal.
+ great coffee+ good food+ quick service+ nice server- not the best music; calm jazz/piano would be perfect
Great server above all else! The guy who usually serves us is great.Nice cozy little spot, great for brunch, and I do come here often.I enjoy the eggs benny here, but when I asked for an extra egg to add to my benny (3 instead of the usual 2) they said they were unable to do it. So I only ended up getting 2 - some kind of pricing issue I suppose? So I did think that was odd. Otherwise would be a 5! Still very tasty
The cafe's atmosphere is absolutely amazing! The waitresses are lovely and nice! The meal's look and taste is great! It is a good place for relax and enjoy your day.
So excited to see this cute cafe in my neighbourhood! It has a great selection of brunch. I order the danoo benny and it was so special and delicious! Will definitely return?
The food is fresh and good. The price is decent. The service is great!
They definitely changed the chef, much better than before. Recommend salmon Benny with avocado. Shrimp Benny is bland, maybe try with bacon next time. Potato need improvement. Drinks are good!
This place serves simple food with great taste. The soup and sandwich special came with a really nice turkey sandwich and honestly some of the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever had (all for less than $10). Definitely check this place out!
Unfortunately they were very under staffed and/or very overwhelmed today. Maybe their waffle maker broke too? We arrived at 11 and they took so long to take our order we thought we were supposed to go up to the counter and pay first. When we did they apologized and came took our order at our table. They were quite busy by this point. We eventually got half of our order and it was great - their hollandaise sauce was fantastic. The other half of our order never came. We went up and asked them about it and they said it was in the waffle maker and would be done soon, so we went back and sat down. It still never came and it was getting on 1 o'clock - so two hours after we sat down. We asked again and they said no more waffles today. When I said we ordered waffles over an hour ago and never got them, they looked confused and talked among their team. Then they repeated no more waffles today and asked if we wanted to order something else instead. We paid and left, but it would have been nice to hear an apology or a discount or anything really to acknowledge that they missed us.I hope they can get more staff, or remove some tables or something so they don't end up so overwhelmed that they miss orders entirely.
They didn’t ask for vaccine proof upon entry. The food and service was underwhelming; we had to ask for accessories like stir spoons for coffees and ketchup for eggs. The server was clearly new and seemed to struggle with remembering basic things. It appears like a family run business and the positives were at 11: 30am on a rainy Saturday it was almost empty when we walked in so lots of seating available. I also appreciated the attempt at a comfortable vibe without blaring music, easier to have conversations. Hopefully they can improve some of the service elements and for crike’s sake ask people for their vaccine proof. Restaurants suffered so much during Covid it seems shocking they wouldn’t at least abide to provincial health orders now to keep their doors open.
