Me and my friends started looking for restaurants in downtown at 10pm, we were literally walking and checking the reviews and ambiance of most of the restaurants that were open at that time.Lebanese/Turkish/Indian/Italian we’re in our mind to have dinner. But we were exhausted to find more places. Finally we stopped near Dan Dan Noodles. Asian was not at all in list, but we went on to try and looking at the menu we were little disappointed as we don’t eat beef/pork. There was only couple of dishes in veg and chicken. We ordered Tofu with rice and Chicken Noodle soup. Surprisingly we all loved the food.Ambiance is good and so is service. The staff patiently assisted us.
This is an authentic Sichuan restaurant. Owner is from Sichuan. I ordered Dan Dan noodles ? (Vegetarian). Love it! The environment is cozy. I hope they have more options for vegetarians.
Ordered to go through uber app and paid $7 for cooked vegetable which the portion size was extremely small and the bowl wasn't even filled with vegetable. Very disappointing. Also ordered their dan dan noodle and the taste was pretty bland (non spicy).
This is a wonderful little place. A Sichuan mom cooking in the kitchen with her adult children running the front. The Dan Dan Noodles are excellent as is the garlic cucumber salad. The soups are good and can be spiced to taste. The two rooms are welcoming to both single diners with single window seating or the second room which is nicely spaced. Good pricing as well. A nice place that I wish I had found earlier.
Honestly, these noodles are SO delicious and authentic. We also enjoyed the smashed cucumber, the dumplings and have had the mapo dofu in the past. We've been several times and can't wait to come back.
This restaurant is located on a less frequented street and customers are few, thus you may need to call the staff. However, you can expect authentic Sichuan cuisine such as their very numbing Dan Dan noodles full of Sichuan peppercorns. Dishes are tasty and affordable, recommended for quiet meals or take out.
Ordered Uber eat. The noodle was delicious until I realized the side vegetable I ordered together has a huge worm in it….. I’m sorry but this is just not acceptable as any kind of usual cleaning wouldn’t keep this size of vegetable worm in. I can’t order this place anymore.
Mouth-numbingly delicious Mapo Tofu! Dish was prepared with Sichuan pepper (prickly ash) to give it the authentic taste and sensation that you expect from this dish. Certainly a place to which you would want to return as the food is awesome! Friendly service and great location in the heart of Vancouver as well.
stumbled onto this place walking by. the staff were very friendly and quick service. the food was excellent and generous portions - if you’re looking for a place with authentic sizhuan food - this is it! the noodles were perfect in texture and dumplings flavourful. if you can’t handle spicy, i would suggest asking for dishes with little or no spice.
Very good service! Has several choice but not too much is also good for people who can not / doesn’t like make decisions.Noodle is good! Appetizers is also good. Hotpot is OK.
