I went there around 12pm for lunch on a Wednesday. I waited 5mins for the server to “notice” me because 1 is making milk teas for a family to go and 1 is packing taking out. I stand there near the counter for 5 mins until a kitchen staff reminded the staff. “Pick any seat” she said, so I seated myself. No tea or water, menu already on the table. I seated there for another 5mins and no one come. I just got up and left, I went to next door to get sushi instead.PS. There was only one customer in the whole restaurant while I was waiting for some service.
I bought two of my favourite Taiwanese dishes at Corner 23. Braised pork belly rice and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was good. Crispy and seasoned well. I will admit I was disappointed with the pork rice. The sauce was way to sweet. Other than that I really enjoyed the dish. I like the egg and the pickles are a nice way to balance the fattiness of the pork.
Most authentic Taiwanese foods in Vancouver. Pretty clean place. Not many dine in tables. Great place for a family of 4 to 6. Parking is a hassle.
I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. It was understaffed. There were only two servers at dinner time and they were busy packing food for delivery. I was ignored for about 4 minutes even when I stood very close in front of them. Once I got seated, my designated server was attentive. The food is delicious but the presentation is slightly worse than that in the Richmond location.

Great dining environment, it's clean and quiet.Food is well seasoned, and the appetizer is well cooked.Rice is a bit undercooked and the pan fry dumpling's skin is a bit too thick in my opinion.Otherwisez everything is up to the par.The only downside if the dining experience was the service: Waitresses are too busy chatting and didn't just ignoring the patrons in the dining area. Another customer literally raise their hand for 5-8 minutes, and the waitress / cashier just chatting behind the counter. Similar incident happened to us as well, but I walked to the counter and made my payment.Overall it's a decent restaurant, hopefully the service will be better next time
Decided to do some Taiwanese takeout from a different neighborhood. Went with the classic pork hock, stir fried vermicelli, garlic chicken and beef wrap. The portion is small for the price. The chicken has more garlic clove than chicken pieces. The pork hock was disappointing - it has a strong "pork smell" which usually means not the freshest meat or improper prepping. If you pour the sauce, it did help masking that smell. Oh well, have to look elsewhere for good Taiwanese pork hock.
Forgive me for not able to lay the food out better, but the beef noodle soup was delicious, my son usually not a meal eater, devour the popcorn chicken. And the price was fair.
The quality of food is not a good as before COVID. The chicken with three spice sauce and five spice stewed pork blood and pork intestine are both quite salty - even I specifically asked for low sodium.
Excellent Taiwanese food. Forget those T+T's. I am sure l will be back. It's price is reasonable.
