We went there for the first time today. What we are looking for is great beer, safe bike racks and good food. We like to cycle to East Van for beer and this is one of the best breweries we found. Very nice indoor and outdoor places for drinking. Tried nitro IPA and nitro Stout and both were great. They have a nice private patio area where the bike racks are located so you feel your bikes are safe. I don’t trust those sidewalks bike racks as bike thieves are so good in Vancouver. Only downside is food. The food truck is outside and there were not much options apart from sandwiches and fries. More food options would be great like burgers, chicken wings, etc. Would give this place 4.5 stars.

Went to Container for the Temporal Ale release. Location is sweet with a low noise patio outside and a comfy lounge inside. The food truck served up a nice eggplant parmesan sammich and the beers were most excellent. The Temporal was on draft and was sublime, dark, smooth, vanilla, coffee, bourbon. The Broken Compass hazy was really nice with the eats. Highly recommend.

Beer: DecentService: .... what service? This place was absolute chaos. No system at all. No captain running the ship. Brewery-style or not, this was not working.Staff were not communicating w one another. The Ordering system was not even slightly thought out - we were uncomfortable and they were slow and disorganized. Their standards and their system were not established at the door leaving us confused upon entry. We were not exactly welcomed in. Then we were rushed out. So beyond mediocre.

There must be some magic ingredient they add to the beer that makes it cost $9? But it sure tastes like regular beer to me. The vibe is cool, but I wouldn't rush back unless they backed off on the prices.

Excellent beer! And isn’t that what it’s all about?Unlike a lot of local brewers serving nothing but the same-old lame IPAs and kid-friendly, light-flavoured fruit beers, this place has a full range of truly well thought-out beers. My two choice flights included three delicious stouts, a killer porter, and a true British bitter. My partner had a wacky (in a good way) plum black-current sour and a few very interesting one-offs she said we’re awesome. This all made it worth the challenge of getting to the place. The Staff were Uber-friendly and helpful, oh and there’s a food truck for tasty treats and a cool seating area outside. We’re locals and we love finding places like this in our own ‘hood. If you want a treat try this place out. Cheers!

Cute building but pretentious vibes. The lady working was pretty rude and the beer is overpriced at $9-10 a pint. One of the best features of this place was the sparkling water tap and that seems to be broken now. I’d recommend going to Powell St brewery around the corner. It’s smaller, but much more down to earth, and the beer is better and more reasonable priced(!)

I enjoy most of their beers and their indoors/outdoors space is great.Their strong beers are really good

Rent out the upstairs for an event!! We hosted an event upstairs in October, and it was so perfect. The beer, the food, the service, everything. We were "those people" who kept changing details up to the very last minute, and Dan, Liam, and the whole crew were MORE than accommodating. Our guests obviously loved the beer, but the sandwiches and fries blew their minds. We already loved Container, but we love it even more now as an event space. Do yourself a favour and host your next event upstairs at Container Brewing (and please invite me).

Great time here, good selection of brews, food truck outside made great fries. Warm and inviting atmosphere, everyone working there is super friendly and helpful.Does get a bit noisy sometimes, but that is what adults drinking do.

Wicked beer, great staff and an awesome food truck in the parking lot. We saw local band Uncle Strut outside and had the best night. For a quieter space, head up stairs to the classroom. Could not recommend this brewery more. Love it! It should be first on your list of Vancouver breweries. Also they are now doing Comedy on Tuesday nights. Check it out.
