April 3; Yesterday we ordered our dinner in the drive through.Something was wrong with the breading. We ordered regular and when we got home the chicken was red coloured not spicy, but not regular.The coating didn’t taste right. Not happy about this.The fries were too salty and limp.The biscuits were delicious and the Cole slaw was ok.
Consistently good chicken. Very juicy and the batter is not overly thick.*Troll approved*
Not much to say here, but it's good. Chicken is plump and juicy, the breading is delicate, the seasoning is well balanced. Did I mention juicy? The first bite comes out dripping. And best of all: fast...so fast, the order was being delivered before I even finished ordering. That kind of service really turns my head! Good job.
It's tough writing a review for such a well known place. Also, I grew up in this neighbourhood and this was one of my childhood haunts. Which is why I'm sad to say that despite the brand new facelift and name, this place has really gone downhill.I went inside to order food because I wanted to check out the renovations. There were only two people ahead of me in line, and only one staff working the cashier, but there were literally 10 people behind cooking chicken. The service was super slow and the cashier and 2 other staff kept calling for help up front, but no one came. 4 cars at the drive through had already ordered and left, but I was still waiting. They had piles of chicken cooked already, but none of the cooking staff bothered to stop and help up front. Why bother stockpiling all that cooked chicken if you're not bothering to sell it. There ended up being around 8 more people lining up behind me. Horribly slow.Now for the food. The chicken was still good thankfully, but they were really cheap with the fries. They used to be really generous with the them... Pretty sad. I also ordered a small gravy. The gravy used to be really good, but now it's watery and tasteless.Very disappointed how this place turned out.
It really depends on the time and day what kind of service and chicken you're going to get. During dinner hours, there can be a long line to get to the counter, then another wait to pick up your order. Also, the chicken pieces can vary in size. One night we lucked out and found big, juicy pieces in the box. The next time, the pieces were at least 1/3 smaller. Still, the taste is consistent, crunchy, and not as salty or dry as other fried chicken places.
Great fast service open 24 hours. Pleasant dining experience. But that has changed the last time I was there my chicken was dripping grease and the cashier was taking orders then suddenly when it was my turn she joined a mosh pit in the kitchen and was tripping over staff helping to prepare orders totally unnecessary the kitchen staff who handed me my meal was pleasant and nice but things have gone down hill since last time I ordered from this diner very dissatisfied One Star for Service. Look at this picture of a long line with more than enough staff to accomodate them but moving at the speed of snail. To be fair the guy a head made a huge order maybe a little insenstive.
I bought $50 worth of food today. The staff was nice, but I was over charged for my drinks.I had asked for bottles of Pepsi and the charge was $3.55 per bottle. Fine, this is the usual fee. But when I open my bag; they just threw in CANS of Pepsi!I can’t believe they charged me over $8 for 2 CANS of Pepsi. Also, they charged me 0.30 for a bag fee. I only got one bag! It’s only 0.15 per bag.I totally got ripped off! Check your entire order before driving away folks - even if you hold up the line.
Good fresh chicken very fast and efficient take out service. My preferred choice for fast food fried chicken. Great hard working staff.
Great service. Chicken was perfectly hot and crispy. Fries were slightly cold, but understandable given it was a takeout. Gravy, delicious, apple pies, a good balance of sweet and crispy.Staff were extremely friendly and worked their best despite the Christmas Eve crunch and even took “walk in” orders through the drive through.Amazing place all around. Good food, great service, highly recommended.
I ordered 4 pcs of chicken,i add 2.50 to upgrade for all thigh but the spicy one thigh is too small and dry,nxt tym pls give us the ryt one as we pay the right price too.so disappointed!That chicken is so freakin dry,it seems that it is very old and dry!nxt tym pls give us properly as we pay for it,we didnt ask it for free!!I pay for it!! am so mad!
