In late March of 2022, last minute, we went looking for a place to host 25 executives from across Canada. A friend - herself a cordon blue chef - recommended Chewies, and they found a way to make it work for us. And was that ever a great call! The bar and serving staff were fast, attentive, funny. A wide range of food was exceptional. The pricing offered great value - and literally everyone loved the place! Thanks Jamie!! Also a shout out to the waiter who saved my suit - loaning me an umbrella when rain hit as I was leaving. That's service!

The food was in the best case, okay, dry, and flavor less. The dining area was unbelievably loud, with all the guests talking over each other. The drinks are really good. So you should consider it more as a bar than a restaurant.

One of my favourite places to eat! There were 6 of us, and everyone enjoyed their meal. From fresh oysters, spicy fried broccoli, shrimp and grits, salads, braised ribs, and jambalaya…everything was delicious! Great service and atmosphere! Thanks to Jamie and staff for making our anniversary dinner special!

Great food, music, service and of course, the oysters. Great Happy Hour menu which enough choices on it, including oysters.I just wish they served wine in wine glasses because i find the whole experience of wine to be enjoyable, including drinking out of a tall, beautiful glass, but i understand that is not their style/theme.Thank you to all of the staff at Chewies Coal Harbour

A great place to go for happy hour menu. When I went, they had 2 different East Coast oysters and Fanny Bay oysters on their happy hour menu. I've been to Oyster Bars where no oysters were served during happy hour, so this was nice. When I went, it was very busy since it was during Dine Out Vancouver.

Chewies, located in the "Coal Harbour" area of downtown Vancouver is, despite its situation amongst the soaring glass urban towers, a warm and inviting place. We took part in their Dine Out menu, enjoying our 3 courses that included pan-fried oysters, lamb shank, seafood penne & desserts with casual but studious attention by the owner, Jamie, and the wait staff. It's very laid-back for a place nestled in a business district with just-loud-enough calls of "Order up!" in place of the usual ubiquitous bell ringing. All of the food items were well-prepared and tasty, the table service excellent and the "à la John Bishop" conversation with the owner made for a lovely and, in our case, rare night out for a meal. Kudos to all. Recommended.

The food and service was excellent! Thank you for the great dinner, and I look forward to coming back soon. Cheers

Amazing fresh oysters, fabulous menu, service, atmosphere and music!! Thank you Jamie and team for an awesome night celebrating our Anniversary. We ate here 2/4 night here in Vancouver!!Happy hour 3-6 everyday ??

Came here for oysters during happy hour. We had potentially the best oysters we ever tasted. Great quality for a decent price. Besides great oysters, the servers are kind and have a neat music taste.

Here for happy hour. Lots to choose from. Oysters were very fresh, calamari was slightly undersized for the price but was delicious. Drinks were cold and a nice atmosphere for laid back fresh seafood
