We hosted my daughter's first birthday at their Kits location and it was amazing!! The staff are super friendly. This is a restaurant owned by a lovely husband and wife (Jamie and Mel) who I had the pleasure of coordinating this event with Mel also offers decor/ ballon arch packages that you can coordinate with her for special events. The attention to detail Mel provided was incredible. I would highly recommend either one of the chewies locations for your next special event.

I went here with a group of friends a few weeks ago for the first time and will definitely be going back! The happy hour runs from 3-6pm on Saturday and Sunday which was great for us because we were hungry after shopping on 4th! I would highly recommend ordering the broccoli and poutine. Patio was also heated and open when we were there. Go check it out!

The food was amazing! Staffs are also so nice. Best place for gathering with friends. Would be perfect for summer outing.

Was completely ignored by their staff not sure because our looks (we both dressed up for the evening) or we ordered happy hour dishes. For those who drawn here due to the good online reviews check the thumbs ups to know if they are authentic. The restruant was also packed so if you are still concerned with covid dont come here.

Extremely disappointed. I have never experienced such poor service at a 4 star rated restaurant. Our party ordered a total of 20 oysters. When received we proceeded to eat a total of 7 oysters. On the 8th oyster we found a hair and walked up to the bar and told the staff. The staff sent us another plate of fresh oysters but only provided a total of 9 as shown in the photo. 9 + 7 eaten is 16, so, we are missing a total of 4 oysters. Again, we walked up to our server and told them that we were missing 4 and he said “So you want us to give you 20 new oysters including the ones you guys ate?”. We said, “No, you guys owe us 4.” He said it would be only 3, so we told him that we did not eat the one with the hair and even pointed it out to him in the trash bowl. My boyfriend told him to count all the oysters in the trash and new ones that they gave and then he finally counted 17 plus the 1 with the hair. I was extremely frustrated already with his demeanour and attitude so I said, “It is not that confusing”. He proceeded to talk back and even swear at me, taking down his mask under his nose exposing his mouth during Covid… Super unsafe and not following restrictions. I asked the bartender for the servers name and was told, “You can ask him yourself, he is your server”. So, I waited for the server to return and asked for his name. He asked why so I proceeded to tell him that we will be writing a review on our experience. Our server told us “just write the reviews, we are just the 2 dudes.”I know that the customer isn’t always right. But this is truly disappointing when even though the customer was right, they did proceeded to give us attitude and not even apologize. We lost our appetite and wrote this review instead of eating.Follow up…when the dessert came out there was another hair..We are never coming back to this place. Left without eating. The corn soup, the appetizer was the only thing that did not have a hair in it… Danny was the only staff who was able to listen and apologized. Thank you Danny, we appreciate your sincerity.Last update, they finally came up to apologize after the owner of the restaurant called them. “You guys clearly don’t like us so you don’t have to come back”. Super unprofessional.

When you walk in the door a rich creo aroma fills your senses. Attentive and charming staff. Good selection of ales. Ok they had one of my favs so it us to say that! And it us entertaining to watch them pour red wine and the watch your companion try to drink it

I may have just come at the wrong time. It was a busy Friday night, and they may have been understaffed. We had to wait 45 min and ask if our wings were on their way. We had to get up and look for the server ourselves so that we could pay our bill.Aside from the service (which may just have been an off day) food was great, especially the oysters. They were fresh, we had enough lemons, horseradish and the works. The Calamari was questionable. It was thick, the batter was really stuck on the squid and we weren't sure if they're even fresh squid. Poutine was good, but the server took it away even though we were still working on it.Overall pretty disappointing, but the oysters saved the day. Will definitely come back again for the happy hour—will update if the service is still the same

we have been here a few times, on date or with family, for happy hours or dinners. Every time we are very satisfied with the atmospher, the food, the drink and of course the premium oysters. Surprised to see comments re racist staff. We never encountered any of this unpleasant moments here. In fact we really appreciated the staff's detailed explanation on various kinds of oysters. Looking forward to go back and have a relaxing time again, and then a nice stroll along the beach just minutes away

They made me bend down to pick up dishes from the feet of the cook in front of the customers. Had to lift that bucket to the back of the kitchen. Did not pay me first day training. Paid me minimum with no tips. I asked for what I thought would be a meal, but it was fried pickles. I thought it was some fancy meal. The men hit each other for fun and act nasty while laughing at each other to be friendly. Overpriced clams. The guy tells a story about how he could not find the remote to play the camera to see who stole what.

First time trying Chewies. Got the creole shrimp wrap and fries and was pretty content with it! Would recommend!
