Delicious vegetarian pho. My favourite is "Diving for Pearls". The broth is clean with lots of kale and veggies.Their other items are also good.
What can I possibly say about this restaurant. I could sing from the rooftops. Chau Veggie Express is easily the best restaurant in Vancouver. While the Taro chips and the Namahata rolls are what I order ever upon arrival, choosing between the golden temple soup and the midnight swim bowl is easily the hardest decision I have to make when dining in. The menu is so well curated and thoughtfully healthful unlike many vegan restaurants in this city. Red sand dunes soup triumphs any dish on a rainy day.Staff is always a pleasure and helpful when ordering. The food is served in big portions and comes quickly upon ordering. Come hungry because you’ll want to enjoy this restaurant to the fullest.
Came here with my friends. It's a nice place for vegetarians but not exactly my cup of tea. ? The ingredients are very fresh and staff are friendly. If you love vegetarian dishes I would recommend you to give this place a try l.
Never disappoints! My favorites are their Golden Temple curry and red sand dune ! Excellent soup base ?? their rolls are yummy too and don't forget to add on the coconut milkshake !
Usually a pretty safe bet for a quality meal dine in but the take out is lacking. This is the red sand dune soup with noodles. There's a few slices of tofu but the rest is barely there. One slice lotus root, one sad piece of bean curd and half a mushroom for toppings. Yes I looked through it to see if anything was hiding.. See picture. Maybe this is standard but I hope not. $14.5 plus tip

The staff was friendly and the food was really good! I got the golden temple soup and it was perfect for a rainy day. It was quiet on a Saturday afternoon and there was a decent amount of seating. Great for a small group, but may be difficult to seat a large group!
Decent food, but absolutely terrible service. They rang in our dine in order as togo and resulted in us waiting over 30 min at our table. They didn’t even offer any water. I hate complaining, but the service is absolutely deplorable. They didn’t even apologize or offer any restitution. Absolutely ridiculous. Worst service experience ever.
UPDATE:Upon returning home after my recent trip to Vancouver, I learned that Chau Veggie Express decided that they would follow tyrannical orders to segregate and discriminate against their patrons based on a very personal, private and confidential matter, their medical history. I was extremely disappointed to learn this and because of this, I will never be back again and I know many others, regardless of their "status" who feel the same. They are on the wrong side of history.Ahh, the comfort of a fully vegan menu! We had the Golden Temple Soup with noodles and a rickety rickshaw bowl with earl grey iced tea and everything was fresh and delicious!
