I loved this restaurant. I really recommend it for those who want to experience authentic Mexican carnitas. This place has a charming vibe, friendly staff and the food is delicious. On the hot sauces opinion, they still need to improve their flavours but overall they are good. The cost is quite reasonable $$$ so everyone can enjoy great mexican pork style tacos, chilaquiles and guacamole as well other tasty snacks and refreshing mexican drinks.
Simply amazing tacos! Very flavourful pork, with the right amount of condiments to compliment your tastes for authentic Mexican delectables. Served with your favourite beverage or guacamole n’ chips, it’s hard to pass up. Beans and (organic) shells rotate in selection! Take out picnics in <10mins… yea that’s also do-able. Do yourselves a favour and check this place out!
I haven't been to Mexico for some time, but this places food took me right back there. all made fresh, right there, including grinding the wheat, brought in from Mexico. Delicious,.
All carnitas all the time. Super nice service. Carnitas and guacamole, sauces, all very good. They have mezcal making this an even more amazing surprise in Vancouver. Only missing one star because they have yet to master the art of making tortillas that don’t get soggy and break right away.
It is a good place to share with friends and bring traditional flavors to your mouth, like the salsas and tortillas of course, personally I consider that the food in this place is not cheap but it tastes good.The customer service is very good, they are very friendly and the place is very clean, the location is perfect, close to a train station (Yaltown) and close to Granville st.The drinks are good, I tried the michelada and the margarita, both were great choices.
Tried the campechano (mix) tacos.Perfectly seasoned. Nice and crispy crackling. Pork belly is rendered nicely.Can taste the full corn flavor from the taco wrap.
Awesome food. Great taste excellent quality. Unfortunately kind of expensive with small portion sizes but that's normal for uptown Vancouver.
I wished they could offer a little more flexibility in their menu to taste test the different flavours. The smallest order you can get for a single flavour comes with 4 tortillas. They also didn't have the largest variety of flavours. Having said that, portions were decently generous, seeing how each order came with a generous side of cabbage, black beans, and 3 sauces. The beans were surprisingly tasty. The corn tortillas were super soft and warm. Seating was comfortable and spacious, but not overly so for a taco resto. Wall decor....I'll let you decide your view of it. I didn't mind sitting adjacent to it. Lots of drinks on their drinks menu...although their drinks equipment seems to have gathered dust during COVID. I appreciated how they had the automatic paper towel dispenser in their washroom.
My favourite place to get carnitas tacos. They serve fresh tortillas and a great variety of salsas. The amounts served are great value for the price. Guac is delicious too and national mexican beers! Highly recommended
Some the best tacos I've ever had. My favourite is the Campechano (Pork Mix), and the corn tortillas are made in house and are always so fresh - it makes a world of difference.Top it off with a solid tequila and mezcal selection, and friendly staff to boot. Definitely worth a visit!
