The business promotes itself as Japanese style bakery but we thought the little goodies were more like the custard-tarts we had in Lisbon, Portugal. Those egg-yoke rich delicacies are to-die for (and, considering the amount of yokes, one may very well fulfill that wish). We got a small box and enjoyed them with breakfast coffee for several days. Really very good!
The cheese tarts are soo yummy and best served warm ??. To enjoy them after dinner, we warmed them up in the oven before indulging. We will be back to try other delicious pastries. The cheese tarts are packaged in a beautiful box.
cheesecake is the best!! must try
Cheesecake have consistent texture and flavor. One of the best I've ate in Vancouver.Regular cheese tart have great texture but a little too salty for my tasteSoft cheese tart wasn't my favorite. It was like eating yogurt.
Loved their cheese tart! It surprised me because it tasted just as good as the ones I've had at Pablo's. Would definetely come back!
If you do not prefer people ordering 1/4 size of your cakes then don’t offer it on the menu. We wanted to try out their cheese cake but we were full from dinner, so we ordered two 1/4 pieces to-go. The owner looked displeased and told us the cake will be better as a whole for take out (lol wut). When we paid he didn’t even say thank you.The cheese cake and tarts taste good but the owners attitude left a sour note.

It's in a small corner of a bubble tea cafe. There's no Castella banner visible outside. I had to look for street number. If you love egg tarts but think hey are too sweet and you love cheese, you will definitely love those cheese tarts!Fresh ones are constantly being baked in the oven. The baker told me most people prefer the texture after they cool down. I have to agree they do taste better after cooled. Are you guys planning to open one near Surrey? Vancouver is kind of far.XD

We stopped here for desert. Tried the cheesecake, the ice cream and the soufflé. All were mild, but tasty. The service was excellent
