Excellent menu, great tasting food. I love all three types of waffles (regular Belgian, croffle, and mochi) some menus you can choose type of waffle, some are fixed. We had salmon benny with mochi waffle, croffle club sandwich, pizza waffle. They were all so good! Extra points for using 49th parallel beans for their coffee. I have yet to try their brown cheese waffle menu because they were sold out. That's what I will be trying next time.Great place for brunch. They do have 1 hoir time limit for dine in.
Our first visit to Canffle was about a month ago since than we've done take out twice now. Includes today, Sunday April 30th. Food still great and customer service was even better!I had ordered online and paid but when I went to pick up my order, found out that it actually didn't go through. I was upset and wanted to cancel my order and get back my money but the female employee taking orders at the front was very friendly, apologetic and made sure my order was put through and done as quickly as possible. They comp my meal which was unnecessary because the customer service with how she handled the situation was perfect. I tried to pay and insisted numerous times but they wouldn't take my money. So I will be ordering there again but will make sure that I show my gratitude with a tip equivalent to the generosity they display ed. Stay tuned for that.So if your on the fence about trying this place out, well get off the fence and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed!!!ThanksPrevious post:Was looking for a new spot for brunch that was near home. Found Canffle. Small brunch restaurant that specialized in gourmet coffee and different waffle combinations. They're only open till 4pm on weekends, 3 pm weekdays. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Place is bright but small. So limited seating for dining in. But worth the wait if you do dine in. Some post suggest you have to go to the counter to order, no you don't.We ordered their signature Norwegian Brown Cheese Waffle. It's a dessert waffle that's a must try!We also ordered Bacon Bennie(the bacon isn't bacon stripes), 2 orders of Salmon Bennie, Egg Droffle(this is a huge, delicious sandwich that feeds easily 2 people. Be warned must have huge appetite for this one) and their Oreo Cream Waffle. If you have choice in waffles order the croffle, it's a combination waffle n croissant. The bennies was good because both orders were not too salty as you'll find at some restaurant.Servings are healthy portions at an affordable price. Everything we ordered was delicious. You will leave very full and satisfied. They also have a front counter that you can approach and order take out. Great convenience. This will be our go-to-brunch spot! So if you're considering trying this place for the first time please don't. Don't want it so busy that we can't do dining in!
Neat idea for a restaurant, to combine waffles and breakfast. They don't have an extensive menu, but everything we had tasted good. The waffles were hard to cut through with provided knives, and chewy. We enjoyed the mochi waffle much better- would get that one next time. Service was slow for breakfast items, but fast for individual waffles. I would come back.
This place was amazing! Really tasty food, huge portions! There was a mix up with our table and another tables order but the staff were so nice about it, got it sorted. The place is so bright and open, really good spot for brunch!
It was fine experience. It's a self service waffle joint with some interesting dishes. The croffle is just a croissant that's been put in a waffle iron, I had the Lotus croffle and I wasn't really into it. Croissants are tasty because of their crispy exterior and airy interior, flattening them in an iron takes away all of that. The Norwegian Brown Cheese Waffle was nicely crispy and I liked the cheese. My favourite dish was the Salmon Benny with mochi waffle, the waffle had an interesting chew that worked well.
I had pretty high expectations but I was pretty let down in a bunch of ways. It wasn’t terrible, it was just okay. I was the first customer there on a Tuesday morning, and what really irked me was that my food wasn’t hot. How?! Okay, I know how. The waffles were premade and only the eggs were cooked to order. Fine, I’ll take a lukewarm waffle with my eggs and lukewarm peameal bacon. But the worst part about this bacon Benedict was the hollandaise sauce. You can see the sauce is very solid in the photos. It was not legit hollandaise sauce. It tasted artificial, like a cheap imitation of hollandaise sauce that was just… disgusting to me. Honestly, I couldn’t finish the second egg because I couldn’t stomach the taste anymore. The arugula was great, the tomato was great, but god the eggs were horrible because of the sauce. For that, I cannot appreciate this restaurant. Eggs Benedict is such a basic brunch dish, and even I can make hollandaise sauce at home!!! It’s not that hard!!!The Croffle egg salad sandwich was not bad. Tasted pretty good actually. I just can’t believe what a letdown the benny was. I hope the restaurant reads this and changes their sauce, because I will definitely not be back for that.
Interesting concept: Croissant waffle.Ordered: Croffle club sandwich, salmon Benny, the classic dessert.Club sandwich was drool worthy. The paring of the sweet and savory was delicious. Salmon Benny was mediocre, didn’t really do it for me, tasted like it was missing a flavour “punch”. The Classic dessert was pretty good too.Pay upfront service, self-serve style sit down restaurant. Decent, would go back for the club sandwich but wouldn’t be rushing back there. Give it a try !
Found this amazing breakfast / brunch through online ordering. Finally experienced dining in, and was not disappointed!!! Food tastes so much better fresh, rather than a 20 minute delivery time. Croissant + Waffle mix make for a delicious Croffle! Hot/Ice beverages in a can... brilliant!
This place was okay, I ordered their deluxe pizza through a meal delivery app. In terms of presentation, it might be better to separate the salad from the pizza. When I open the pizza box the salad had been squished, and the salad sauce was spread around the box.Their deluxe pizza was okay, definitely has a homemade taste to it. One thing I noticed was that the pizza s very sweet. My guess is the sauce or waffle has sugar, this isn't my style, I probably wouldn't order their pizza again if I went back.
Great portion, fresh ingredients, nice staff. Went there few times already, i think it is the best brunch in the bby/Kingsway area. I’m not sure if they still have 1 hour stay limit tho.
