Best place in Vancouver for affordable and delicious French cuisine, hands down. Been coming to this cute Cafe for years, and the quality has never once dipped below consistency. Excellently executed dishes made with fresh daily ingredients. Their mussels and fries are a must try, as are their daily fish and pasta during lunch. Service is excellent as well. This is a must try hidden gem for Vancouver. I take the lady here every year for our anniversary.

Cute French restaurant always serving excellent quality food! The mould et frites is legendary, always fresh and served with fragrant white wine broth. The fries are crispy but not greasy, just perfectly seasoned. The surf and turf was well executed, perfect medium rare cooked and the lobster was heaven. It's a small restaurant that is usually almost always busy, so it's best to make a reservation first before visiting.

Inexpensive brunch. Food tastes healthy and delicious. Staff is friendly and accommodating.Pro tip: park a few blocks out because the meters on W 7th are overpriced!

I went for lunch which was superb...the Table D'Hotewas a great deal. ie seafood chowder, pulled pork and unexpectedly Basque cake with whipped cream(I think) and wonderful chopped fruit. The Japanese server was very helpful and friendly. All in all it was an outstanding experience. I felt as if I travelled to another country sans covid tests and passing through security at the airport.

If you are looking for a romantic setting that features unparalleled prompt service AND top tier food, then you need to make a reservation for Café Salade de Fruits. Speaking of reservation, we did not make one yet we were seated right away and treated with plenty of attention and care. Our glasses were never left empty for long, our dirty plates moved quickly, and we were courteously asked if we wanted anything else. As for the food itself, everything was thoughtfully seasoned and balanced on the plate. We ordered the escargot as an app, the Cornish hen and red snapper as entrées. Both dishes were so delicious to include the veggies that we THOUGHT were going to be bland but to our surprise were tender and full of flavor. This restaurant really has something special going on and you would be doing yourself justice to try it out. We came for the snails, but will return for the service, atmosphere, and ALL the yum food.

Described as an unpretentious French Cooking with a very cozy environment..it is inside the French Cultural Centre…the staff start your arrival with a very warm welcoming and the Covid-19 strategies are in place for our safety..the food that we ordered for our lunch was excellent and my steak and frites hit the spot..my friends ordered the mussels and frites and the lamb shank…we all finished every bite as the food was tasty and very delicious…this cafe has a very special environment …

Delicious authentic French menu, enjoyed the escargots in garlic butter and moules frites, very generous portion of mussels beautifully cooked.

Upon entering this restaurant we were greeted with a very warm welcoming and we knew just looking at the menu that we made the correct choice for this special celebration..as we looked around at the other tables we felt a delightful feeling as we ordered and started our meal in this very delightful cozy environment.. my steak and frites was very delicious and the mussels and lamb shank my friends ordered was described as top quality…Covid-19 was in place and we all felt safe and protected…

The words Bon appétit is exactly what they should've named this French restaurant.Woke up today wasn't feeling the best of moods so I was going through the list of restaurants I saved and wanted to try..One thing to mention I felt incredibly loved here...what a wonderful surprise to my day...the comforting warm dishes was exactly what I needed to cheer me up.The service was pleasant, quite attentive and welcoming. All serving staff put so much effort to make sure all my dishes where to my liking and always paid attention to refilling my water even though the restaurant was very busy. Now I can start my wonderful day!Merci beaucoup! Le chef et ses assistants mettent tellement d'amour dans leurs repas et vous êtes tous simplement magnifiques merci encore d'avoir fait de ma journée une si belle journée ! ? All the best to this lovely restaurant.

One of my favourite French restaurants in Vancouver.Unpretentious, authentic, warm, inviting and charmingly bilingual ❤️Great portions and food quality for the price. Eggs benny was only $15 cad and came with fruits and a choice of their homemade sausage9oz steak and frites was $34 but well worth the price.Love how the restaurant is located next to the french cultural centre. The best and delicious cultural experiences are often through gastronomy.Come and bring your date here to impress her with some broken french (the servers will commend you for trying), while having some authentic french brunch in a quaint Vancouver neighborhood ?More more food reviews - follow @danism.co
