This was a reat place for us to drop in for a lunch. Some items such as sandwiches and salads are prepared in advance for a quick grab and go. I was delighted with the quinoa salad - good size and absolutely delicious. We met a very nice young lady, Cindy, who was very helpful and professional.
I come here weekly and it never fails to impress! The bakery items are always flavourful and the muffins fluffy, the coffee always delicious and the tiny chocolates added to the side such a nice addition. The gent who runs the cafe is so kind and attentive - honestly the best service! 10/10 recommend coming here!
Stopped for a quick snack with my partner. Ordered the margharita pizza with fries & a coffee with milk. The pizza was perfect. Thin crust, ample cheese & fresh tomato sauce. Fries were delicious aswell as the coffee which came with 2 complimentary chocolates! All of this at an absolutely unbeatable price.
When I visited on a Saturday, at the end of the lunch rush, I saw dirty dishes behind the counter, empty milk jug beside the cashier till, sink filled with some dirty brown liquid with cutting board soaking in it, and just generally looking unclean and unprofessional. A large group was packing up to leave so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were suddenly slammed and didn't have time to clean up. So I waited in line to order. One person was in front of me, he ordered a smoothie. The slow worker was multitasking between making the smoothie and running back to communicate with the kitchen. I swear I waited 5min and the smoothie wasn't even done. I was starving so I left. Looked like a rag tag operation, unorganized, dirty, slow.
I stopped in this afternoon for lunch and were very happy with the experience. The food was quite nice, very reasonably priced and well-prepared. The hummus was the best I have ever tasted, pita was warm and fresh, and shakshuka was absolutely lovely. The service was warm and courteous. No complaints at all, I will be back someday soon.
Delicious food and coffee!
Best Kosher restaurant . The owners of Cafe forty one are such amazing personalities that want to be your family. They are on a mission to help provide a variety of flavors in the kosher world. If you are familiar with kosher, you may know that there is a limited variety of options when it comes to food. Cafe forty one works very hard to give you an exceptional experience. Such amazing shakshuka and pizza and they accommodate and make it without cheese for me. I love these people a lot from the bottom of my heart.I am very happy to be a lifetime customer of this establishment. I enjoy supporting these chosen people. May everyone reading this have a wonderful experience!! Please don’t listen to any hateful comments or negative reviews. Mark you should be ashamed of yourself and remove that bad review as you’re committing Lashon hara against such amazing chosen people and you should develop a better relationship with HaShem.
I have lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for many years and have been spoiled by the excellent expresso coffee that they serve in our local Padaria there. The latte that I ordered at Cafe FortyOne was surprising very good, with an excellent presentation.
Ordered through Uber eats. Falafel and Shakshuka were way below average. Pizza was good. Will not order again unfortunately.
Owner is overwhelmed and cannot handle too many customers at a time. He screws up orders and then gets angry at the customer. Has an arrogant attitude. You can wait 10-15 minutes for him to bus a table, another 10 minutes to be able to order and then another 15 minutes to get your order. Many menu items are not available. A lot of food is pre-prepared and then microwaved. There are few kosher places available in Vancouver, but I would suggest bringing your own food and purchasing a cheap microwave when you get here. Or go across the street to the deli for better food and service.
