All around tasty food at a great price. Tried their black Viet coffee too and I’d highly recommend it. Almost had a dark chocolate flavour and not too bitter.

Dang, I like the Bun Rieu here better than the place across the street (9/10). Reason being the rieu meatballs are more substantial, don't fall apart, so you get a real bite of the meat and not just soup with diaphanous essences of meat. The rieu is really tasty and you get a lot of it. Plus, I prefer their type of slippery noodle, which inevitably makes for loud slurping. All for $1 less. Def coming back, especially if the lineup across the street is too crazy.

HIDDEN GEM!! This is absolutely, hands down a mega hole-in-the-wall pho place. It’s the first floor, sorta basement of a building. Super unassuming and honestly if I didn’t search for pho restaurants in the area I wouldn’t even know this existed! There was a constant stream of people coming in during 12:30-1:30pm on a Thursday; it was constant. A table would leave and someone would arrive, and sometimes there would be a wait to dine-in, which surprised me because this place is so unassuming but clearly the local Vietnamese community loves this place so heads up that lunch even on weekdays here gets busy!We only ordered pho tai (rare beef noodles) and the pho broth is very clean and tasty. I was a little thirsty later in the evening. The beef used is flank steak but maybe it wasn’t cut along the grain because the steak/meat was rough and had too much chew. One star off for that, but the broth was delicious and sides came with basil, bean sprouts, chopped chili peppers and lime slices. I checked out the condiments and there were no chili oil but the other sauces were there (sriracha and hoisin).Restaurant is small and has 6 tables, but the larger closer tables have a plastic screen divider for covid safety. Still it’s a small restaurant but the bathroom was clean (make sure you shut the door and lock it properly because the back entrance door opening/shutting changes the air pressure in the bathroom hallway and it inadvertently forced my bathroom door open while I was washing my hands because I didn’t close it harder (this is my bad not the resto’s fault!).Overall I will be back to try their iced viet coffee (presented in to-go plastic cups with straws) next time, butter beef, and also to update my review to see if their rare beef pho tai meat is still rough/tough like this first time (I’m hoping it was just a bad day with cutting the meat improperly). I’ll update again after my next visit!

I was recommended this cafe for their blood sausages though when visiting I did not have the appetite to eat innards and blood. Instead we had the chinese donuts, spring rolls, bun rieu and their vermicelli bowl. Great value for the price the bun rieu was quite flavourful plenty of dill in the broth so quite nice especially for those wanted to try something besides pho. Complimentary pandan tea which is actually quite good. Decor is bare and sparce but service was great and attentive.

Bf had bun rieu cha caAnd I had bun cha caFor some reason the boths tasted different. Mine was actually pretty bad compared to other pho places. This place tasted like 85% hot water 10%fish sauce 5%pickle juice. Just zero flavor and very watered down tasting. Had to dump hoisin, and sriracha for it to be edible. I guess this goes to show you can't always trust reviews because I expected it to taste decently yummy. I give it 3 stats because their fried rolls were good.

I love their Bun dau mam tom. Also, their other noodle dishes are good.

Love the spring Roll and the pho there. The soup base is just right, not too strong not too light. Will definitely go back.

They renovated so it looks nice and clean on the inside. Because of this, the price is a dollar or two higher than before. However the food portion seem to be a tad bigger and the flavour is still delicious. Their pho ga is the best chicken noodle soup with really fatty and juicy chicken. Their cold tea is so refreshing too. Such a hole in the wall gem.
