Lunched there with a beautiful view of English Bay.Typical of Cactus club is their great menu, their good service and their delicious food. However, they do rarely drop the ball, but at this place they didn't.We ordered the Cheddar Burger and Chicken Sandwich both with fries and started with Edemame. I'm not much of a chicken person, I'll pick red meat any day over chicken or even fish, but that day....I guess I wanted chicken. :|The chicken was so tender and juicy that it just melted in my mouth and with the right combo of sauces and ingredients......yeah...go try it.The Cheddar Burger was also nice, but I preferred the chicken...ironically.I felt the beef patty was a little dry, but honestly that was minor and I should've asked for it to be med-rare. For me it tasted a bit dry because I like my meat med-rare across the board....even with burger patties.Their fries were super hot and fresh and the edemame was a nice start....specially sprinkled with coarse salt.....yumm.
Generally speaking, the food and service is above average and pretty good. The view is always spectacular and I always tip them above average according to their service. A great place for get-togethers or business, you certainly won’t be disappointed by the service, the view, or the food.
Yes, it is a chain restaurant but it is in one of the best locations, especially for sunset. The other place is the Boat House in Kits beach. We went for a long walk around the park and needed some refreshments and snacks as we usually do after a vigorous walk. Got a nice table at the end so we only have other people on just one side. It’s Covid after all. We have some drinks and ordered their sushi rolls. Interestingly they make good sushi rolls at Catcus club. The servers are friendly and everything is consistent. And on Wednesdays they have 1/2 price wine by the bottle.
We came here on a whim on a cloudy day and were lucky to have gotten a seat right away since this place is always pretty packed! We tried the holiday tasting menu and loved the overall experience, food quality and service. The restaurant is located in a prime location with a beautiful view of the bay; a must go!
We went there for our first marriage anniversary there. In one word this was the best decision we had taken. The food was fabulous, the service was amazing and they even gave a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Even though we went there on a week day still, the food, the ambience was amazing! The truffle fries was the best.
COVID and its nasty variants have put a hold on enjoyable things for nearly a couple of years now. With vaccine passes and masking requirements required everywhere in BC there is an opportunity to support local businesses and the people they employ. We came back to the Cactus Club in the West End of Vancouver which easily has some of the best views around. Like we remembered from visits a while back, the food and service were simply excellent. We like this location no matter the weather because the beach view is always amazing. We made an early reservation and got a window seat shortly after we arrived. We had the prawn sushi roll, rice well cooked and the prawns were fresh. The mini burgers were delicious, the meat was moist and juicy. My favourite was the Szechuan chicken wrap, which never disappoints me. The crunchiness of the lettuce and the flavourful chicken were fantastic. Corey was our waitress and she an excellent job. We will be back soon.
So yummy ! They didn’t have the hunter chicken on the menu but went out of their way to make it for us anyways! Which we so appreciated. The location can’t be beat’ beautiful views.
I was visiting Vancouver and I got invited to have lunch with an old friend at this place.The location was amazing, we got a table in the outdoor area and view was breathtaking.The staff were friendly and polite. The food and the drinks were delicious.I ordered a steak and they made it perfectly the way I wanted.Highly recommend this place.
We were staying just down the beach at the Sylvia Hotel, so this was an easy choice. We highly recommend it. Great, right on the beach view. Excellent service, menu and food.
