This place was right outside our hotel (Residence Inn) and we stopped in several times during our 5 day stay. The cream puffs were amazing along with the scones. Also tried some of the savory selections which were all amazing! Never tried the coffee so can't comment on that.

We are regulars at this neighborhood spot. This place has a welcoming and easygoing atmosphere. I am never able to restrain myself from their New York cheesecake, it’s nutty and light. Probably because I have tried everything there, I would love a new range of more whimsical desserts ( my fangs are sinking into their ham and cheese melt as I write this ?).

I love this bakery! It’s always so busy but the line moves fast and the wait is always worth it.I recommend their bococcini and pesto sandwich on sourdough and cretzel ham & cheese melt. Their pastries are also fantastic and can’t really go wrong with any of them. It’s also a great place to wind down and study or socialize especially because they open relatively late compared to other places.

A great staple of Vancouver. Breka has a wide selection of pastries and goodies to try out. They range from sandwiches and paninis to donuts and artisan lemonades. Each time you stop by you can grab something new to taste! If you do stop by, try their strawberry shortcake or any of their cream puffs. Vegans shouldn’t feel left out either, because Breka carries options for them as well. The location is super convenient too. It’s right by Robson but not directly on the road so there’s less foot traffic walking past you. Therefore, this bakery makes an easy impromptu date spot. On the other hand, studying here is not the best idea here. Unlike other cafes, this is a loud and busy environment with multiple opportunities for distraction.

This review reflects the first and one time visit only and I will definitely be back. It's a corner bakery/cafe with lots of windows and a cozy interior with plenty of seating available and bar stool chairs right by the windows for those into people watching and a morning meditation reflecting upon beautiful Vancouver downtown views, and that is exactly where we sat.If you walk by this place don't be fooled. The exterior looks quiet, unassuming and ordinary, but once you step inside you'll be greeted with the proper world of the bakery/cafe and everything that name stands for. The vast array of pastries, baking goods, sandwiches and cakes is impressive and the staff are certainly trained and enthusiastic to cater to such a standard. They were friendly and attentive.I tried their butter croissant as well as their almond croissant. Croissants are my favourite go-to pastry, so naturally I've tried ...well.....many of them from all over. What I liked about their croissant was the layering of the pastry. There were layers and layers of light, fluffy and buttery flakes that made up the croissant with a touch of crispy on top ( see pics). When a bakery doesn't know how to bake a croissant properly it comes out flat, empty, soft and worst case scenario doughy on the inside. Not this place! They had that baby down proper.I also tried their Tiramisu and it honestly topped one of the most famous bakery/cafes in Vancouver, which shall remain nameless. The coffee was lovely. Big cup, decent body and piping hot...the only way I have my coffee!Yeah, most certainly going back.

Great selection of cakes and pastries. The custard donut was delicious! No de-caffeinated coffee and no steamed milk on the menu but they did agree to make me one. Very popular and hard to find a table - there were a few free of people but piled up with plates and mugs. Our table was definitely sticky, went to wash my hands but the restrooms have a keycode and everyone was very busy so didn't want to disturb them by asking how to get in. We shuffled up to let someone sit at our table - his toasted sandwich looked good!! There's free water but no paper cups or glasses so not sure how you'd get a drink.

I was visiting from Manitoba. I found the donuts to have Excellent variety, fresh and delicious. I had the Boston cream and pistachio . It was amazing. Line moved fast and prices were reasonable.

This was a great recommendation from the hotel concierge. I went here for my breakfast goodies and I was absolutely pleased I did. The number of items available here was remarkable! My only regret was that I did not come back the next morning! Not only are there great breakfast selections but I could also see that many items for later in the day looked just as delicious. There are plentiful staff persons there to wait on you quickly. Great job!

They have an excellent selection of food, across the range and with variety. What I tried, I usually liked, and that kept me returning. The coffee was another story - not always up to the mark, though.
