Decent pho and rice dish with lemongrass pork chop was tasty. But I did think that the fresh shrimp roll was overpriced and just ok. What I didn’t like was the 15 % gratuity automatically added on. I believe customer should be the one to decide if service was worth tipping. We had to constantly flag down our server to get refill on tea and to go containers, also had to go up to pay for bill. Won’t be going back when there are far better Pho restaurants on Victoria Street and South Fraser
The sandwich is always my favourite. The raw beef and rice noodle soup is super. This is my first time patronage at this small and cozy Vietnamnese restaurant. Everything is good but it’s weird to find that there is a mandatory 15% service charge for dine in, which is printed at the bottom of the menu.
We truly enjoyed our family meal at this cozy restaurant. Very fresh food, super delicious meal and it was very clean with COVID protocols in place. Thank you.
Food was decent. Their spring rolls have really big portion but cost almost $13, so it's hard to finish if you only have a group of 2 people. Also am not a fan of how they charge mandatory 15% tips, so would likely not go back since there are similar alternatives nearby.
Even the noodles themselves are amazing. The quality of the chicken is nice and the date broth is amongst the best in Vancouver that I've tasted. Spring rolls amazing too.
Very friendly owners, it was my first time having an actual nice conversation with an owner at a pho restaurant!Fast service and delicious bowl of comforting pho. Will be back for sure. Thank you Bob Cafe for your welcoming hospitality.
The star is their crispy fried spring rolls.. always amazing, you must try ’em!Pho broth is fragrant and tasty with the right amount of saltiness, noodles, and ample beef + fixins. Only wish they had an option with a higher cut of beef/steak.Yummy, clean, friendly, affordable, welcoming place :)
Their spring rolls are a definite must try it was just over-priced for veggie spring roll. The beef stew soup was pretty delicious but it comes in a small bowl only. I just found the portions and pricing a bit overpriced compared to many other places. Two soups and a veggie roll costed us $50+ a bit overpriced for simple dishes.
We just had a late lunch there at the Cafe but, we are very unhappy about it's billing l need to let everyone know! This is the second time now it happened. They tagged on a 15% tip charge on the bill and made customers to pay compulsory. In addition to that, they DID NOT tell you the tip was already added on, this is totally unacceptable to me and to the standard of general practice, probably against the consumer law or bylaw. Someone should report it to the government I think.
Hot and sour seafood soup is good
