Best pub in Kitsilano. Half price pints of Guinness and Strongbow on Wednesdays which can be had with tasty wings for $8.50.Friendly staff and good service.Biminis is also a good place to meet people as it has a games area with pool table and mini arcade.
Didn’t even wanna give one star. The DJ guy was totally racist and he pushed me when I just asked him if he plays any Bollywood songs or not. When I talked to the manager,He was even worse than the DJ guy.Even a guy with no experience in pubs or bar will be much better manager than him.I am also a bouncer in a nightclub and we never treat customer like that.We treat every customer with same respect.Worst place to go.
Great atmosphere - club room/den feel, friendly service, and good food. I enjoyed the Five Spice Bolognese - tasty and perfect serving size (for someone hungry without an appetizer).
Well, for starters I'm super sad about the loss of a pool table. Just one to fight over now....The menu has also changed and it is much smaller. I don't love it. I had a very small and mediocre brisket burger for $16. There really wasn't much on the menu I would order. It seems a lot more Asian inspired now with Sweet Bun , chili wings, tofu dishes. There is no longer happy hour food. They do have their old fashioned on happy hour still for $8 which is a great price for a very basic Bar OF. Order it half sweet, trust me. Few beers and cocktails at discount proces 3-6pm. I still like this bar as I have a lot of fond memories, but I can't say it's nearly as good as prepandemic times.
My absolute favourite bar in Kitsilano.Huge space, good music, friendly staff..The design is well thought out with areas to chill and socialize.
Cool place! You walk past a small arcade as you enter and then the main hall is up the stairs. My party ended up here because we decided to have an impromptu afterparty and Bimini's was one of the few venues that was open late on a Thursday and had room for a big group. They have a great list of draught beer and specialty cocktails (my first two choices - one beer and one cocktail - were out of stock, but I loved the raspberry wheat ale I ended up with. The food menu isn't huge but it's different and more interesting than the usual bar food. I got the crispy avocado tofu bowl. There was only 5 bite-size pieces of tofu and half an avocado in the bowl but it ended up being pretty filling and I wasn't actually wishing for more tofu/avocado when I finished. Objectively this was probably a little overpriced, but I don't know of any comparable places that wouldn't charge the same price for a similar dish.Music was way too loud for the amount of people that were there (just our big group and maybe 2 smaller groups of 2-4), but otherwise the vibe was good. Service was pleasant and attentive.
Other than blowing up the dumplings... BEST FOOD HANDS DOWN! THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! Found a new local place to watch the game!
Thanks for the great time there was a good time our first visit to the place and had the best server as well as an awesome Karaoke host. We will come back soon.!
What a cool space! Really wanted some beer around 6pm on a Saturday. Was loud and energetic but not too busy yet. Was surprised by the menu of dumplings and salad bowls at a “beer hall”, with limited bar food options (1 burger item??) haha. I ordered a tuna melt and a local IPA. Husband ordered a highball with the grilled avocado tofu bowl. Calamari to share. It’s not what I wanted but I have to say the food was delicious!! If I weren’t so boring, I’d love to come back for late night beer with friends.
As someone who works at Bimini's I can definitely vouch for itWe have *great* daily specials, we can accommodate big parties, the space itself is comfy and our food is awesome! We have trivia night on Mondays, all day Happy Hour on Sundays and more. We have pool and arcade games downstairs. We also have a huge big screen TV in the main area for sporting events, but we also have a little bit of a more private area upstairs with less TVs as well!Would definitely recommend!
