Absolutely amazed at the quality & taste of the meal; shared a chicken & beef burger with yam fries, tatertots & Caesar salad plus a nice IPA.. and of course the service was pretty darned great considering how busy it was. We attended a Kitsilano Secondary PAC event.Gotta go back for the other menu items.
The service is terrible. We were there standing at the front for almost 15 minutes to be seated. But, nobody cared to show up. The restaurant was not even full; we could see empty spots. It was disrespectful and totally unacceptable for a restaurant.I wish I could rate the food. But, unfortunately, we were not even served.
Nice Brunch after 5.5km forest bathing at Pacific Spirit Regional Park.
We stopped in for a light lunch and found the 3oz burgers a perfect choice. They are on the small side, which I liked, didn't overwhelm my system. The bun was fresh and condiments good I had a little side salad with it which was fresh and tasty, though the creamy white dressing was quite mild (bland). We LOVED that we could have our dogs sit at our feet at our patio table! It is covered, so is nice and dry, we had nice separation from other tables (even better than covid distancing was other dog distancing lol). Service was pleasant and attentive. We will be back to this dog friendly venue?
Went for brunch and their brunch chef was home sick. Super nice to see that they are good about health and safety. I’d absolutely rather just order from the lunch menu than have someone suffering to make me a poached egg. They have tater tot poutine, with added blue cheese! Amazing! What more could you ask for? Delicious gravy!
Fairly average pub fare - some menu items are a bit unique but some pretty regular stuff. Nice servers. Usually fairly slow. In my opinion the prices they charge are excessive for the portion sizes and quality of food. Overall it's a decent pub but nothing spectacular honestly.Note: I haven't really tried any of their beers, I'm specifically talking about food here.
After finishing a half marathon in the rain and burning a bunch of calories you'd be ready for a nice hot meal right?I thought I would go off the beaten path and this place would be less busy, provide faster service, and hot food but honestly I should have just gone to Koerners, Browns (which was basically right beside the finish line) or gone elsewhere off the main campus into Point Grey/Kits. Sadly the Gallery isn't open on Saturdays or I would have included that as an alternative as well. Also let's be real, the pub food is all from GFS or Sysco so it would have basically been the same anywhere else I went (except hot and not have a 40+ minute wait).Props to the servers and cooks in the back for doing the best they could (only reason why they're getting 2 stars) but the guy I believe to be the "manager" really rubbed me the wrong way and this would have been a 1 star review if not for the superstar servers.I'm not some academic looking down from an ivory tower, and only know the theory of what an effective manager should be. I've seen effective managers and ineffective managers in real life operations and the so called manager here was more of a "mangler" than a manager.
The waitstaff were nice and the food could’ve been good but it took a long time to get it and it came out cold, which was disappointing. The tables outside have broken legs which caused the table to shake and wobble a lot and got water from our glasses everywhere, and when we switched tables it was the same level of broken, and didn’t help. It took about 30 minutes just to order, and another 40 minutes to get the food, but we were some of the only people at the restaurant that night besides a few others The area is nice and the food would be good warm, but it was overall not what we were hoping for.
Great service during happy before watching the Thunderbirds. Good food too, well worth a visit.
I came here a little while ago with a group of friends. It was, essentially, our first real social gathering since COVID began. We had a reasonable experience, but there were some problems.Firstly, the table we were assigned was recently cleaned, and the cleaning solution they use seemed to make the table very sticky. Thus we couldn't put our hands or arms on the table. Fortunately, the stickiness went away after 5 minutes or so, so this was not a big deal.Second, they got my vegan friend's order wrong (they used a non-vegan dressing). While this was corrected, it did detract from the service. The food was good for the price, but I can't say it was truly excellent. The waiting times were great. The alcoholic beverage options, specifically the selection of beers, exceeded expectations. The restaurant was cool enough to let us stay a few minutes after closing. All in all, our experience was a 4/5.
