Bells and Whistles makes you pay for reserved seating. We really wanted a table for the special Farmhouse Fest preview tasting on August 5, so we paid the fee. After we arrived, we were informed that the event was delayed until the next day. So, we were charged for a table we didnât need in the end, and we didnât get access to the special beers that were promised, and we didnât get a refund for the booking fee.
Delicious food. Everything was hot like it was just cooked. Quick also. Must try their hamburgers, fries, hot dogs and chicken wings. Great atmosphere. Just wished they had actually have happy hour menu like $8 wings or $6 fries.
Life of a transit operator, we see lots of things when we work. My joy is trying new restaurants, coffee shops, dessert shops and curiosity arise to my eyes when there is lots of customers in a place. I try Bells and Whistles today with my daughter. I admit the fish tacos was delicious for appetizer. We order popcorn shrimps and try one of their new feature cheese burger with jalapeños plus fries too. My food was good and I like my food hot not cold. The waitress was very helpful and courteous.
The food was good aside from very soggy buns...but the soft serve ice cream is to DIE for and made up for it! The service was fantastic and the games keep the kids occupied. Also this looks like a great spot to watch a game! We'll definitely be back.
I had a great time here. The food was better than expected. I love cheesy fries instead of poutine and they did them perfectly. Also the fried chicken was quite juicy.
great atmosphere and great beer and snack selection.
Great Mother’s Day lunch! Awesome atmosphere and vibe!
We were looking for a breakfast place that serves omelettes. This place was not busy, so we were seated immediately. We both had the mushroom omelette which is filled with goat cheese, a side of arugula, hash browns, and artisan sourdough toast. The omelette was perfectly made, with a generous amount of mushrooms inside. Service was friendly and efficient, and our coffee cups were refilled multiple times. We enjoyed sitting in the sun on the south facing patio. The inside part of the restaurant was furnished in a clean modern style. We would come for breakfast again, or try their dinner menu and craft beer. Highly recommend!
I’m impressed how kid friendly this place is. I came here with friends with a lil baby during happy hours. The place was packed with families with kids, high chairs, very stroller friendly. Bells and whistles was very welcoming for meet up for beer and snacks, very attentive and friendly staff. We didn’t need to worry about awkward kid moments.Food was alright.. it’s good, but not wow. There was very good selection of beer!
There's definitely a shortage of hip drinking spots in East Van. Glad to see bells and whistles is doing well! Good beer, decent food, soft serve ice cream, and even a few old ball games!
