My favorite restaurant in the city. This place is amazing, the best food, service and authentic atmosphere.
The best thing about the servings is the sauce is there to enhance the pasta, not overpower it.Very good flavours!!
restaurant atmosphere is very nice, large menu at reasonable price , food absolutely well done fresh and healthy thank you guys see you soon ?
Amazing service, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. I love this place so much and will visit every time I come to Vancouver. You MUST get the tiramisu!!!! 5/5
Prices were reasonable for their pasta dishes as well as the house wine. I liked the ambiance with the warm lighting and table cloths. We sat at a table near the back and it was a tad chilly. Server was nice and attentive. Would come back and try more dishes since it was pretty tasty.
It was the lowest rating available. This restaurant used to be a four or five but has fallen badly. We went out of our way for an anniversary dinner and were sadly disappointed. Started with a tasteless mozzarella salad, slice of tomato with a ball of mozzarella with no dressing at all. Two orders of veal parmigiana that were tough and very overcooked. Finally coffee that tasted like the dregs of the coffee pot that was at best only warm. After thirty years of support we will not be returning.
Unfortunately 2 out 4 meals were disappointing. The 2 clams with spaghetti meals were good; the veal Marsala was pasty (dredging was under cooked), the meal was cold and the bacon (supposedly pancetta) in the pasta carbonara tasted old. The salads were good, but the tiramisu seemed a little watery. In spite of the fact that we made note in our reservation that it was a 60th birthday celebration, this was not acknowledged, so a very lacklustre experience all around. This was a restaurant that we used to enjoy.
Great food, bad service. I have been to Arriva twice. Once, with a reservation - the food was fantastic, price reasonable and service... lacking in customer relations department. The second time I went as a walk in, I stood at the front waiting to be approached. Many of the wait staff walked past without offering a greeting and the host was nearby, but seemed too focused on his computer to bother with us. We waited uncomfortably for several minutes without being acknowledged before leaving. We felt totally unwanted. Will not be trying Arriva again.
Dinner for 2 on their charming hidden patio in time for sunset. Very good , unfussy authentic Italian. Warm atmosphere, friendly service. This place has been around forever but it feels like a hidden gem. Highly recommend
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Greater Vancouver. Best pastas and even better appetizers.Clam appie in a rich tomatoe sauce was great but the special grilled calamari was spectacular. Will be back.
