Had a great time with my wife here on our anniversary. Service was great and the food was delicious!
We visited AnnaLena for Chapter Fifty Two and had the most amazing time. Every dish was prepared with care and tasted divine. I’d recommend getting the wine pairing to enhance your experience. And the torn bread is to die for!!!This an excellent place to celebrate a special occasion. 100% recommend.
Fantastic dinner. We really enjoyed their tasting menu (apparently they are switching the menu very soon, so we hope to return soon), and their service was great. From the photos, I actually wasn't really convinced it would be a nice place to go; the food and interior looked pretty basic to me, but I was wrong. I still feel that they could get more unique looking or interesting plates etc., but their food was original and they tasted fantastic! It is a pricier restaurant, but it's worth it. If you are in the area and would like to try out a great restaurant, I highly recommend this place. One thing I suggest is, there were a couple dishes you were encouraged to eat with your fingers, it would have been nice to have a wet towel or a finger bowl to clean your fingers afterwards.Thank you for a great dinner experience.
Food and service. You cannot go wrong dining here.
The tasting menu is beyond amazing. Leaving the menu to the chef allows you to try new dishes and ingredients you would never think about trying. We loved every single dish we were served even though we probably wouldn’t order that on a regular menu. The portion sizes are small but throughout the entire course it’s actually very filling! Would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone feeling adventurous or just wanting a great place to dine!
Went for the tasting menu course. The staff was very pleasant and attentive with all the coming and going of plates …etc.Expect a LONG wait between each course. The restaurant was not fully packed when we were there, but for some reason the food took easily 20 min between each course.
Got lucky and scored a last minute reservation at the bar. We love tasting menus and have eaten lots of them around the US, where we are from. This was right up there in deliciousness. Every course was plate licking good. We were sitting at the bar, so service was a bit different, but our bartender was fantastic; super friendly and very helpful.
We were fortunate to dine at AnnaLena on July 13, 2022. We were visiting from overseas and dined with our sons and their partners. To say this was an incredible dining experience would be an understatement. We have been fortunate to dine in outstanding restaurants all over the world and this was right at the top. The tasting menu was was exquisite, the wine pairing superb and I have a hard time remembering better service. It was 5 star and although my priority is great food, the service that accompanied our meal made it an experience I won’t forget. Dinner at AnnaLena was the highlight of our trip back to our home, Vancouver. Book way ahead as it is hard to get a table.
We dined here during a 5-day trip to Vancouver and were not disappointed. We followed the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairing, and every course was excellent (though we were particularly fond of the salmon main and the mushroom pasta). The beverages were as varied as the food, but complimented each course perfectly. The place was extremely busy and although we booked in advance were only able to get a seat at the bar, but this didn't detract in any way from the experience. The servers were extremely well informed and willing to go above and beyond. Would happily return.
Go, just go. Reservations are necessary and should be booked several weeks out. We had a delightful evening dining at the bar. Everyone was wonderful and the food was amazing. The food tasted great, but the complexity of textures was a highlight. We easily got on street parking on a Wednesday night at 8.
