The worst Indian restaurant in BC. This was my first and last order from this restaurant. They don’t even deserve one star. The restaurant is just full of stale food that been sitting there for long. The food is stale enough to make you sick. The guy who was working there was not so happy with his job . His only job is to microwave stale food and he is not happy with that. I’ve visited many restaurants all over Canada in last 4 years and I can say this is worst among the all.

Today, I ordered dal makhni, shahi paneer and naan for take out. When I call to the restaurant and the employee who was assisting me seems like he didn’t want to take the order because he asked me three four time to cancel my order. When I reach there to collect my order, he prepared stale food for my order. When I asked him to make a fresh food. He replied,” he can’t make it”. After that, when I opened the bag. There was chicken. I went all the way go back from the downtown to Agra tandoori express. The guy was just sitting on the chair and when I asked him,” what was my order?” He knew what I ordered and what he gave to me. Even he didn’t felt sorry for that. I can’t eat chicken because of my health issues. If I eat it because of his mistake than I could have to face health problem just because of this guy. This is my first and last order from this restaurant.

Lamb curry and samosas were tasty and fresh. Manned by polite friendly young people. Pleasantly surprised.

Really nice food ! Great escape from the UBC mess food if you are a first year living on campus

Ordered a samosa, it was tasteless tbh, not enough spices, even a bag of Lay's chips is more satisfying. Also ordered lamb curry, honestly it was SOoOo **watery** and virtually no spices or taste, I called the store to complain. Save your money, and more importantly, time and just go somewhere else.

Palak paneer and butter chicken are good! Amazing value and portion size ? However, the quality of rice isn’t super consistent, so you might want to ask for naan instead of basmati rice.

The restaurant business is such a complicated enterprise. Take Vancouver, hundreds of Indian food restaurants all competing for your hard earned bucks, and battling all kinds of external situations, pandemic-related, etc. My point is, you'd better be good, otherwise you are doomed. Well, Agra Tandoori Express is not good. Ordered a few items from their menu and it was all bad. Started with vegetable pakoras, hard and flavourless (old?). Butter chicken is a watered down sauce that is far from the original. Chicken biryani that looked like it had been cooked a week ago and only put in the microwave a few minutes before pickup. Even their Naan bread was hard as a rock. This is not a cheap option either, but definitely not worth it. Not coming back...

Specially meant for students quick bites nt for family gathering

The worst lamb curry I ever orderd the taste Disgusting and so watery and taste rotten I throw it in garbage

Great value for price. Really tasty and they told me how to prepare each dish properly if I took it home cold. Excellent rich but refreshing mango lassi. Chicken samosa ~3$ with af flaky casing and fresh mint chutney. The Lamb curry was pretty good. What I discovered today was the paneer. I took it home, heated 3 or 4 at a time (added the spice after heating, as recommended) and I kept going until it was gone :( the tamarind sweet and sour sauce is so good I'm going to look up the recipe to use on my home cooked dishes. It's exciting because I just found tamarind and have been contemplating what to do with it This place is so small and I imagine overlooked but I hope with covid 19 fading there will be flocks of students and others to boost this lovely little place up.
