This place was really good!!!!! The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming, in a rustic way. The staff is amazing, Keith was our waiter, they go above and beyond to help you. A member of our table wasn't feeling well, Keith offered a concoction of a drink to help ease their stomach and it worked like a charm. The food was amazing, we all agreed it was a little on the salty side, but still very enjoyable. This restaurant is located close to the beach, but not too close, parking can get pretty limited so try to show up earlier as parking can be sparse at times, this is a beach location after all. Again the staff here were amazing, great experience, great food and great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!
I've been to the cabin several times over the past 3-4 years and the food has been consistently good. I really enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant itself. It is intimate and cozy. They have 2 menus a lunch menu and a dinner menu with more options. From the dinner menu I highly recommend their steamed mussels 10/10, and garlic prawn appetizer, their seafood cioppino hotpot, stuffed chicken and beef short ribs. Crème brûlée for dessert is also a recommendation. From their lunch menu the halibut burger is my go to (so fresh) with a side of clam chowder. Pictured below is the calamari (also good), the halibut burger with a side of clam chowder.
This was a wonderful end to our trip to Vancouver. We wanted to get out of the city but were in the mood for seafood and found this gem.? Nestled in a quiet little neighborhood in Surrey, we found The Cabin restaurant. The staff was amazing, very accommodating, very inviting, from the very beginning, by inviting us in to warm ourselves by the lovely, antique looking Rayburn stove that had a nice wood burning fire goingnk. We asked for their recommendations and the first thing mentioned was Maple chili cauliflower wings and clam chowder. Both were amazing and I'm not just saying that! They truly will make you stop and appreciate how good they are!!! We look forward to coming back and experiencing this wonderful restaurant again on our next trip to B.C.My name is Brian James and I was hereBrianjameswashere.com
The cauliflower was one of the best I've had. Small suggestion, swapping the dipping sauce for a Thai chili sauce will make it taste even better !
4.5 stars very friendly and helpful staff. Nice casual atmosphere. Food delicious. Try all the desserts! My new favorite is the chocolate peanut butter with some of the raspberry cheesecake sauce from my wife's dessert.
Rustic and quiet place for a lunch. Creative menu and a good selection of draft beers. Refreshing that they don't presumptuously pre-fill the suggested tip at 15% like so many restaurants do.
Cozy spot tucked away in Crescent Beach. Just as the name implies, it has a cabin vibe inside. We had made a reservation for dinner and were seated promptly. The menu has a good selection of cocktails, appetizers, and mains. We both went for a steak. It was cooked well and everything seemed fresh. Definitely recommend.
The food was very good and nicely prepared. The decor is interesting. We had a way better experience the following evening at Coto AL Mare, which is down the street. Our dining experience was not very positive. We came for our mutual birthday dinner. Our service was perfunctory and lukewarm. After 65 minutes we were finished our meal. They interrupted our conversation 3 times in a 15 minute span by bringing a debit machine to our table in order to clear the bill. We felt rushed out of there. We trusted them with our special occasion and the evening was ruined by unprofessional dining room staff and hostess. It is doubtful we would come back.
Great food I had the rack of lamb and linguine alfredo, lamb was a perfect med rare and delicious. The cauliflower wings were also great.
Love The Cabin, one of my favorite places to have lunch/supper. I can't recall how many times I've either eaten in or used them for take out, but its well into double digits.Today we had the mussels, so good. Large Saltspring Island mussels in the most amazing broth. The bread for dipping comes from the restaurants sister bakery Hearthstone up on 128th st at Crescent Road and is the perfect accompaniment. (ask to have any excess broth packed up to go, great for chowder of cooking your own seafood). We also had the cauliflower wings, fish tacos, followed by the eggnog cheesecake and creme brule. Everything was delicious as always, great service and reasonable prices considering the current covid/flood situation. I look forward to returning soon.
